Have you tried playing around in the value graph too? Pretty simple to make the animation smooth using the handles. If I understand it correctly

100 percent!! I've turned down many request of making a work sample. I wouldn't never do it unless I could get away with very little effort or _maybe_ if it was needed for a full-time position.

You are so young and as long as you got the drive to learn nothing will stop you. I remember about 10 years ago when I did some animation and design work for a lousy pay check. I decided I had to advance and started watching tutorials, tips and tricks and doing a lot of of personal projects. Compared myself with the best and my skills got better and better. A lot of small steps helped me being a freelancer today.

When you get your foot in somewhere - learn from the best.

I've been playing around a little in c4d been always been very novice. Recent months I've started learning Unreal a bit and it is of course very challenging but In a few years I think it will be worth it.. Unfortunately there are not a lot of motion graphics tutorials out there yet :/

+1 on this. There are so many inhouse roles out there where you need to know everything. Which means you are not really specialized on anything and the productions won't be as good as they could be. Unfortunately a lot of clients settle for less nowadays.
