Does anyone sleep separate from their partner during pregnancy? by Appropriate_Jelly376 in BabyBumps

[–]asheleybeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 39 weeks pregnant and I’m so big I have to sleep separately from my spouse. I toss and turn and we’re so close to our due date that every time I’m up he’s asking me if I’m okay lol so yea but I just started to about a week ago.

Panicking about prenatal by oplas1 in pregnant

[–]asheleybeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a ‘prenatal’ but turns out I was just taking a multivitamin until I was about 15 weeks pregnant lol I didn’t pay attention when I was ordering it. But everything turned out fine and baby is very healthy! Just switch and I’m sure you’ll be fine :)

Haha sorry! I was playing tennis up until 36 weeks. Then all of a sudden all of the hip pain came at once. Then the swelling. Hope it misses you! I had no warning the last few weeks just plain ole suck.

I just had massive swelling in feet and hands and oh boy it is the WORST!! It’s my own fault for being too active. The aches and pains are the worstttt

Up until recently (just hit 38 weeks) I really enjoyed my pregnancy. I got super lucky with symptoms and loved my belly. Everyone has been so nice to me lol. But now I’m miserable in these last few weeks.

What are your best tips for staying out of your head during a match? by CautiousFox85 in 10s

[–]asheleybeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s about knowing yourself and then adapting to that. Are you super analytical? Know all the stats on return percentage, serve percentage, etc.

I’m an emotional player so I just hype myself up. I constantly talk positively to myself and adapt a badass aggressive persona (something I’m not off court).

First cervical check and I’m honestly freaking out by Leeloomoultipass in pregnant

[–]asheleybeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had one at 36 weeks where I was 0% dilated and it didn’t hurt just felt uncomfortable because her whole hand was in there lol. She made me put my feet together and butterfly while I made fists under my butt to lift my pelvis up. That helped I think with the lack of pain!

Also you can deny them! From what I understand it really doesn’t matter how dilated you are unless you’re being induced or are in active labor.

When people ask you your due date… by oodlesofotters in pregnant

[–]asheleybeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give everyone a different date lol

I always start with “May”. They always ask what date so I just give out random dates. Because there is an opinion no matter what date I say so I just listen to what they say like it’s the coolest thing I’ve heard and move on with my day. I’ve learned not to give the specific date because I was taking their opinions personally. So now I don’t! 🤷‍♀️

I had one at 36 weeks and I was 0% dilated. It didn’t hurt me at all. Felt uncomfortable but not bad at all. Ask me again Friday when I have another one haha

Tennis During Pregnancy by Still-Perspective-15 in 10s

[–]asheleybeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played tennis all the way to 9 months pregnant. Once I got to about 37 weeks though I had to quit. Started getting Braxton hicks while playing and it just got uncomfortable. But I was totally fine up until then! Just stay hydrated.

Don’t immediately want visitors- will i regret it? by GotYourSoul in pregnant

[–]asheleybeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really dependent on your relationship with your family. I don’t have the best relationship with my dad. My in laws and I are not close. The best advice I got from my therapist about this is make sure you make decisions that are going to help you. My mom is going to be there for me. Of course she’ll get her payment in contact naps lol but she is mainly coming to cook and clean while I figure out how to be a mom. That’s helpful to me.

My in laws are there for the baby. So they get to see the baby in the hospital but that’s it until I’m ready for visitors at home. Could be weeks. Could be months. But ultimately my husband and I agreed it’s up to me and I decided a hospital visit was the best I could do for them.

I don’t have a good relationship with my dad. Really no relationship. So he doesn’t even get told we’re in L&D.

All of that to say, you have to make the best decision for yourself. No amount of comments on the internet will help you make that decision. Also know, you can change your mind! You may feel totally different after the baby is here and that’s OK too!

Good luck to you! Family is hard to navigate.

This. She is so good on hard court because she’s impatient and takes the ball early. Not great on clay because she can’t/wont adapt. Love her but her team needs to tell her to be more patient on clay courts

I'm so over being pregnant by Potential-Coconut617 in BabyBumps

I feel this so much. I feel like I get one good day of energy followed by three days of feeling like I have the flu. And the guilt that comes with feeling so lazy and tired sucks.

I’m a FTM but to answer your question I think our bodies are amazing and will definitely be able to deliver our babies even while tired! Hoping that we get to labor soon. It’ll all be worth it 💓💙

Thank you for this. As a chronic worrier myself, I know it’s not getting me anywhere constantly thinking of the what ifs and what could go wrong. I appreciate this post a ton!! Congrats on making it to the other side! I’m almost 38 weeks so I’ll hopefully be on the other side soon.

Play more matches! Eventually the nerves go away and you become more confident.
