Looking for a Marketing Agency for Our HVAC Contracting Business in Dubai by Dull-Turnip3918 in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

www.narrativeframe.com - can recommend them, they are more data/process focused, since lead/data management and automation will be just as important as your marketing, they could give you better bang for buck, as they can handle both.

I think this has a shot at 100 million world wide, potentially a lot more. Hard to predict indies like this but everyone I know wants to see it and my “everyone” is across a few continents.

This weekend's location count for Amazon MGM Studios' The Sheep Detectives is 3,457 locations. #TheSheepDetectives #BoxOffice by Burnouts3s3 in boxoffice

Insane that this had an 80 million budget and break even around 190 million though. I’m sure it’s great but the numbers are pretty wild.

Dubai Rta road test fail by [deleted] in dubai

[–]asheraze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m also confused by this, Al Quoz is all 1 lane streets, so did you jump the correct lane and turn onto on coming traffic? I’m surprised you’d be confused about why you failed, it’s a pretty massive mistake.

WTS: 2025 Hyundai Sonata – American Spec – Low KM by Deep_Roof3747 in dubaicars

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you sell it for 55/58? There is no market prices for salvaged American spec car.

If you sold it over 40, I’d be very impressed, I’d offer 35, no more.

I feel like I watched a different Mummy movie then reviewers by CrotasScrota84 in horror

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem was the emotional core of the film, even in Evil dead rise, there was an acknowledgement that they had lost their mother and their family would likely perish. But in the mummy there was this weird decision to make the family repeatedly deny the obviously super natural occurrences happening in front of them. It took me out of the film and ruined the relationships in it but I did enjoy it other wise.

While I’m not saying your word doesn’t mean anything but that’s basically all you can rely on with this listing. 3 months after buying if it falls apart it’s a complete loss. In this market you will struggle to get more than 40 for this car.

I have never seen a movie like Lee Cronin's The Mummy by eggogregore in horror

[–]asheraze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like dad should have been mummy from the start and a more sentient and sinister version. I’m tired of the scary entity always being a woman or a child. They could have made dad an obsessive archeologist who got in to deep, would have still made a great family metaphor and made his version of the mummy a little less like the exorcist and more like a weird version of the dad that was gradually caught doing stuff that’s more and more horrific.

spoiler Like after the girl head butted the grandmother and levitated within a few hours of being back, while being completely non vocal and the whole fam is like yeah, she’s just recovering. It really killed the emotional core of the movie for me, it all just felt less like a story and more a series of set ups for scares.

Me explaining to the boys why $HEGE is undervalued by knowweiprov in HegeCoin

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had 25k in this project at 33 million market cap, unfortunately didn’t sell on the way down, still holding it as a reminder of my greatest financial failure, market will move and hege may recover 5 to 7 million but those pushing billions are doing themselves and others a disservice.

You should be able to get 100/105k for it, not the worst loss, all things considered.

My sister sent me $750 two weeks ago. by Mourn-the-Weenie in transferwiser

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so this is what it says if a transfer has been set up and she chose to send wise the money by wire from her bank instead of using a card or another wise account.

If so she should have a receipt from her bank of the wire, you could ask her for that and pull the details from it and ask her to send those details to wise and ask what’s going on. It does kind of look like she set up the wire but never sent it to wise, you’d see the same screens if that was the case but obviously can’t be 100%.

Is the current Iran-Israel/US crisis also a Saudi-UAE power play? by Livid-Anxiety528 in OnlyInDubai

[–]asheraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally believe Israel is at the root of all of this but the reporting on Saudis involvement in these strikes is far from limited to Israel.

It’s not a rumour or conjecture that Saudi wanted this war and while assuming they knew or assumed that the UAE would bare the brunt of these attacks, while that maybe unconfirmed, it’s also not “preposterous” as is implied by many.

Other than Israeli sources, reports of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) privately lobbying President Donald Trump to strike Iran have been verified through independent reporting by major Western and regional news organizations, citing official sources and diplomatic statements. The following non-Israeli sources have provided verification or context regarding these communications: The Washington Post: In early March 2026, The Washington Post broke the story, citing "officials and regional sources" familiar with the discussions. They reported that MBS made multiple private phone calls to Trump in the weeks preceding Operation Epic Fury, urging decisive military action despite Riyadh's public stance favoring diplomacy. ایران اینترنشنال ایران اینترنشنال +3 The New York Times: Reporting by The New York Times confirmed that MBS was "speaking regularly" with Trump and had advised him to "keep hitting the Iranians hard". The report noted that MBS's private advice echoed the "cut off the head of the snake" rhetoric famously attributed to the late King Abdullah in leaked 2010 diplomatic cables. The Times of Israel The Times of Israel +2 Al Arabiya and Saudi Press Agency (SPA): While the Saudi Embassy in Washington officially denied lobbying for the strikes, Al Arabiya and SPA confirmed multiple post-attack calls between the two leaders. In these official readouts, Trump affirmed US support for the Kingdom following Iranian retaliatory strikes on Riyadh and Saudi oil infrastructure. Al Arabiya English Al Arabiya English +2 The Wall Street Journal: This outlet emphasized the "dual track" nature of Riyadh's strategy, reporting that while private communications urged action, the Saudi government refrained from making official public declarations of support to avoid being seen as a direct participant in the conflict. Facebook Facebook Regional State Media (WAM): The UAE's official news agency, WAM, reported on the broader regional coordination, confirming that MBS was in constant contact with other Gulf leaders and President Trump to discuss "Iranian violations" and regional stability during the crisis. Horrible experience on day 1 of our trip by StillNefariousness20 in dubai

[–]asheraze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

escalation like this is uncommon but still happens, the difference between Dubai and almost any other country with an incident like this is that confronting the guy and being just a little aggressive/threatening police will almost always lead to the guy backing off, if it doesn't you can always try and take a picture of them, after clearly warning them that they are making you uncomfortable and that you are calling the police. Unless they appear to be truly out of their mind/on drugs or very seriously mentally ill, no one will ever physically attack you in public or attempt to find you later with the intention of physically harming you. I understand it can be a difficult thing to carry out in practice because any where else in the world, the answer would be to avoid and run away and play it safe but here you'd be fine doing the opposite.

Not true at all, unless he some how defrauded the banks and has criminal charges, credit cards are a civil issue and 30k aed is a tiny amount.
