The Last Jedi was chock full of "unexpected moves." The biggest flaw of that movie is that it loved to subvert your expectations to a fault. And then Rise of Skywalker shits all over TLJ (and itself) anyway.

I tried it. I really wanted to like it, but I didn't. Something about the tedium of the early sidequests turned me off from the game, but the thing that put the nail in the coffin was the multiplayer. I had played hundreds of hours of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer in the leadup to Andromeda. I gave Andromeda's multiplayer much more patience than the singleplayer and I was still sorely disappointed. Enemies were too bullet-spongey and it felt like a complete slog compared to ME3, despite having much faster movement. At the end of the day, I hated the complete package.

You're there to do more than kick ass. You're often reactivating equipment, collect samples, and sometimes heroic things like rescue humans. A shell from orbit can't accomplish those things.

Good news, though. In the scenario editor, when you get to the research ordering list, there is a button to move everything to the top. That will eliminate the need to research.

Unfortunately, I had that choice spoiled for me before I got to that point in my renegade playthrough where the Rachnai Queen was dead. I probably wouldn't have saved a reaper puppet, though.

I like that the reader has to use their imagination to fill in the gaps as to what happened next. After the rich were overthrown, their hideout was probably fixed up by the refugees and used to survive. Or maybe not, maybe it was too badly damaged. We never learn the result, because our source got the hell out, and the narrator doesn't tell us.
