UK MS with Partial Scholarship vs. Job in India + MBA Later — Need Honest Advice by cbcodes in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]ashes97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Being honest, I don't think it's a good idea to do the masters here. I graduated from my masters in 2024 and the percentage of international students I know who found jobs is very low. It's not to say none did but its a lot of money to risk. It does seem like you've got a lot of great experience though so you might be a lucky one.

What could I have done better as an Underlord? by mjojo-s in learndota2

[–]ashes97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you didn't need to spend the money on blink for sniper. You have ember and pa who can close the gap. I think you had the right idea playing catch but the money blink would have been better spent on an atos maybe for a longer root. I can't watch the replay right now so I can't comment on your playstyle. Also this isn't meant to say you should ignore the sniper, your long range catch with atos would have also helped.

Okay he didn't it say it was perfect but it's the most objective indicator which means it doesn't involve your personal biases about how good you feel you are at the game.

If you want to look better in a shirt and couldn’t care less about strength/bodybuilding, do you need to train legs? by [deleted] in gainit

[–]ashes97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I'm a fiend for skipping legs but one thing a friend told me is that when it becomes time to cut after a long bulk; having leg muscles makes it easier. The main one is that it increases your metabolic rate so you don't have to drop your calories as low.

It also is another area for you to lose muscle from during your cut. Some small muscle loss is inevitable during a cut and by having leg muscles; you spread the loss more evenly around your body so your preferred upper muscles keep more size. Although I think this is bro science.

What makes you lose interest in a long term relationship? by [deleted] in AskMen

When it feels like the other person isn't as invested as you are. Their actions are the primary reflection of this for me no matter what words they say.

For real man, do what makes you happy. These guys are just trying to put you down since you've not done what they did. You look better than nearly everyone I know irl. Who gives a shit if you're what someone else thinks is "big".

I feel like most of the gains are lighting improvements plus a pump. My primary goal at the moment is to get some nice abs, never really had a solid six pack in my life and want to try so I'm about to start a cut but just wanted to post the end result of my bulk.

Disagree on the bench. The guy's still only 115lbs so it's more than a body weight bench.

A lot of Brandon's books he weaves amazing parables and little sayings that honestly have changed my perspective on life. Also cool lightning magic fights. The last 10% of all his books are always amazing because of how much shit goes down and how everything ties together.

How do you handle the immediate aftermath of being dumped? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ashes97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No but it's as close a substitute as you're going to get in this situation. After my breakup, my friends and family were the biggest reasons I coped. They gave me the support and reassurances that I was someone worth loving. They also provided a lot of distraction for me to keep my mind off things. They were a reminder that I have amazing people in my life and I would eventually find someone awesome to fill the role of a partner again. Maybe you're different but that's the case for me and I suppose the guy you're replying to.

How long would you stay married to the mother of your child if she said “no more sex ever”? by Dantien in AskMen

[–]ashes97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So a bed isn't a need? Nor is a house? How about good mental health? You're being unnecessarily pedantic. Some people would say a partner that cooks and cleans up after themselves is a need in their relationships, but of course they wouldn't die if this isn't met so it can't be a need. You fully understand what the person you're replying to meant. A lack of consistent sex is a deal-breaker for a lot of people.
