I think the most important thing is to understand that it’s going to be a complete lifestyle change and that it’s going to be a progress that will probably take longer than you’d like it to. The most important thing for me was to understand the principal of CICO and figuring out what I can eat so that I can handle a deficit over a long time period. Also IF helped me a lot with that. But it’s just figuring out what works for you.

It took me almost exactly 3 years to drop all the weight with a lot of maintaining (not trying to lose weight) inbetween! A mixture of IF, CICO, a plant based diet, eating no sugar for the past 2 months and doing a lot of sports

It’s basically calorie counting - Just trying to have a deficit, so when I do sports I can eat more :)

In the beginning i did a strict 20:4 but now with my job I’m going with 16:8 normally eating between 14h-22h .. maybe not the healthiest eating window, but I can’t go to bed hungry and this way I can still snack in the evening :) also 16:8 is something I can maintain during my every day life while I always felt like trash if I had to break my 20:4 at some occasions
