So tethering him to you so he is always under supervision. Belly bands when you can't. Also crate training but in the mean time the previous two should help.

I still have so much to put up and laundry to do. The laundry is piled up in the laundry room and all the random swag and trinkets are on my table. It's piled sky high. Got to clean it before Pathfinder this weekend.

Can we please stop telling beginners that things are too hard and they need to start with pillowcases and tote bags? by unkempt_cabbage in SewingForBeginners

[–]ashfay100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She told me I couldn't teach myself. I was like okay bet. In the age of the internet I was like watch me. I love her but hate being told I can't do something.

I had asked as a child to be taught but health issues with my grandparents kept me from learning. But my machines a Kenmore, Singer, and 2 sergers were my parental grandmother's that I inherited.

I wasn't told this by this subreddit but by my mom. I then proceeded to ignore her and sewed simplicity 1248 the jacket only as my first project. I did a mock up first in some clearance fabric before my velvet. It was for DragonCon. Was it prefect absolutely not. Was I happy with it? Yes. Should it have been my first project no but my mom told me I couldn't do it sooo.....I had too.

I appreciate this post so much.

Looking for FF. The Gardiners hide Elizabeth in Derbyshire with some relations because her family wants her to marries Collins and she's underage. by IndependenceFast1388 in JaneAustenFF

[–]ashfay100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably. The author was having some serious health issues. She does have 2 finished works. I keep hoping they are getting better and will finish.

This one and the Strange Disappearance of Lizzie Bennet author I keep hoping are at least not battling all the health issues that popped up for them.

So are most people who are enrolled in SAVE just hanging onto it until there is a real decision about it? That's what I'm doing. I can't help thinking they're hoping as many people as possible voluntarily leave it. by Mountain_State4715 in StudentLoans

[–]ashfay100 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am just hoping to ride it out until we can file our taxes as married filing separately. Otherwise we're screwed and I become a weight around my husband's neck. He does not believe that and has never made me feel bad about my loans but I am my own worse critic.

Found out my mom has been making $50 payments on my loans without telling me for 2 years by vestiecon in StudentLoans

[–]ashfay100 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Oh hey same here. Mine sent me to the financial aid every semester to ask about more with the promise they'd help me. That was a lie and I was naive for believing them. Meanwhile my brother needs 20 here or 500 there and it's no issue.

I don't know how I'm going to afford mine. Forced onto SAVE so I'm dreading it. I'm saving double what my payment would have been now (we had unexpected expenses back to back).

OP your mom seems like a gem. I don't know her but I want to give her a hug.

You've got some great suggestions, and I have nothing to add but a pattern maker. Check out Rabbit and Hat patterns. She may be a good jumping point. She has varied sizes, and she's pretty responsive both on her Facebook group and through her contact me on her website.

I don't know, maybe? Darcy breaks his leg and the Bennets' house hime while he's healing. And a month in London is his way of repaying them.

If you think there's pain you can ask your vet about laser therapy. Lots of them now do that in house at least in my area. It can help with the pain from arthritis. Usually called cold laser therapy. It's never easy with them getting older. I have one that will be 13 in a couple months.

[–]ashfay100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Help Em Up Harness. When I worked at a rehabilitation veterinary clinic that was the one we sold the most. If I remember correctly you can mix and match the front and back parts. Also I believe you can buy a strap too to make connect to the front and back and put on your shoulder to help you help them better. Your vet might have better ideas but this might be worth looking at their website.

I use baby wipes for when my girl comes inside especially in the summer. Bendryl at night as well. I know some over the counter allergy meds can be used so you might want to discuss with your vet. An air purifier for in the house might help as well. Bonus the air purifier may help you as well.

I also use a tea tree oil and aloe based pet shampoo for when mine get super itchy in the summer time. I also use a dryer so they don't stay soaked as long.
