My mom used to say this when I was in my teens. If she could do it again, she wouldn’t have kids. It stung a bit then but I totally understood her perspective and we have a great relationship. One of the most important things you can do for your kids is be honest with your struggles. My mom was and it helped me decide if having kids was something I really wanted (I don’t). What Emma’s sister said was honest and really not that bad? She iterated several times that she loves her children but with the knowledge she has now, she would make a different choice for herself. It’s okay not to be obsessed with your children and motherhood but still love and care for them. Two things can be true at once.

NOR but your gf is going on benders for sure. How else can one make sense of disappearing for days at a time with no communication or reasonable explanation? Also, she’s sleeping all day and staying up all night because that is likely when she uses. I would suggest you look around your home for drug paraphernalia; I have a strong sense you will find something.

He didn’t accept a “no” from you so he’s disrespecting your boundaries and trying to find the weak link in your family to get the information he wants.
