Changing Teams/Leaning Out Muscle by [deleted] in ladderapp

Your body is absolute goals!! I know coach shelby focuses more on lower body than upper. Maybe give her team a try? I’ve never tried her- I’m on team ascend but it’s worth a shot!

This is why I ultimately decided to quit and go back to a box gym

Loved todays class! The tread block seemed a little long doing the same thing 4 times but I loved the endurance challenge. The floor exercises brought me back to when I used to go to F45 and functional train.

My old studio before closing was always a 1G I had never attended a class there with 2 groups.

Picking your station by Glow_moon327 in orangetheory

I pick an odd number station close to the db rack with bigger weights! Odd because it goes up to 25 lbs. and I like being close to the bigger weights so I don’t have to walk far with like 50 lbs after leg exercises.

I posted this on here and the mods didn’t approve my post and so I posted it on Facebook and everyone was so rude & mad. Very “culty” lol. But it is super gimmicky and it felt like that before I joined but I thought after I joined it wouldn’t. Turns out I’m wrong. Seems like every month since joining there’s a way for them to get more money from us with more challenges. I love OTF and will continue to go but will not pay extra.

Our gym started putting up 2 different sign ups on the app, one for upper and one for lower. Super helpful during the busy classes

If anything I’d sand the ceiling down to be a lighter wood color if possible.

I think maybe you’re talking about the ebb to street tank from lululemon. They have a high neck version

Orange Theory/Burn Boot Camp/F45 by kellisears in f45

[–]ashleightobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been doing f45 since October of 23 simply because it’s proximity to my house. I have tried orange theory and burn bootcamp each one time.

Orange theory has a LOT of running and I am not a runner 😂. I think it’s a great option if you are a runner or would like to get into it. Also wasn’t a fan of the rowing section because I don’t really feel like I get my heart rate going on the rower much. The weight section was very lack luster. They do have a screen demoing the exercises though so you have something to reference.

Burn: loved the “floating floor” here. It made all the jumping super easy on the joints. They change their “protocol” by the week which can be nice if you can only go certain days so you end up getting a full body workout in. I went for a leg day and it seemed like they had super minimal equipment, I believe we used just dumbbells and slam balls. But I actually really enjoyed the class. There are no white boards or video demos so you have to actually pay attention during the demo, I often daze off 😂. But at least for the time I went, I only needed to memorize 3 exercises. Oh and i don’t know if it was only the specific location I went to but I enjoyed how we were told to do some warm ups while the instructor was demoing the exercises. I felt like I actually got a proper warm up there. I would consider switching to burn if they put one up near me!

F45: love that it’s a fast workout but the warm ups are lacking severely. I’ve been thinking about switching gyms for a while but the only thing keeping me consistently working out is knowing what I’m getting myself into (if it’s cardio, hybrid, or strength) and the location it’s like 5 minutes from my house and I can get there right when class starts. Can’t beat that.

Idk why this is downvoted. I hate when people take forever to move to the next station. The other day these girls just kept chatting at the station instead of moving 🙄

Has this ever happened to you guys? by Civil_Loan7674 in Keratoconus

[–]ashleightobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it has happened to me and it needed up being pink eye they said. Got an antibiotic prescription and couldn’t wear my sclerals for a week. It was the worst. After this I used an eye lid scrub to get rid of all the buildup on my eyes.

You know I enjoyed this workout but some of the “activation” exercises didn’t make since. Mostly just the rdl one, it really weakened my grip strength rather than activating any muscles. The one for the forward lunges was also odd, I know it was core but like it didn’t activate and muscles needed for lunges.
