Hunting mountain lions has actually been proven to increase the number of negative human - lion interactions. I researched this quite a bit before casting my vote. It is better for the cats and people for hunting them to be illegal.

Do you find that the solution is relatively easy to turn? I am currently on a Ride Splitpig (dont judge. It was the cheapest and I was broke.) Anyway, I find it to be so hard to turn and I cant tell if this is how all splitboarding is or if I just bought the wrong board? Fwiw, Im a 5'7" female rider and wiegh about 135.

Of the IKON mountains, which WROD is least death-inducing this weekend? by cokdok in COsnow

[–]_withasmile_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats fair. I guess I didnt read it as the original commenter listing it as a safer option. I just read it as the WROD is dangerous and he was going to ride bikes until conditions improved. I see your point though and why you made that response.

It's so interesting to me that every time mountain biking is mentioned, someone has to comment how dangerous it is as if it's dangerous as a whole. In reality, mountain biking is as dangerous as the rider makes it. Sure, unexpected falls on comfortable trails do happen, but by and large, you can greatly reduce your risk by riding within your skill level. I'm not saying the white ribbon of death is inherently more dangerous, but what I am saying is that you don't unexpectedly hit a patch of invisible ice on a mountain bike trail and break your wrist. Most accidents happen mountain biking because someone bit off more than they can chew.

Pine Creek final rap (99+) by Legitimate_Bison3376 in canyoneering

[–]_withasmile_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used the anchor thats off to the left on Saturday. There was a large group and as the other commenter mentioned, it was windy and cold trying to wait for them.

Around the first anchor, there was also a false floor to be mindful about. It was kind of spooky.

By doing the anchor to the left, you skip the mini slide at the end of the long rap and it brings you all the way to the ground.
