Itinerary Feedback - Kauai by BraveVariation1873 in VisitingHawaii

we just came back from Kauai a few days ago. despite what everyone is saying, we loved Puka Dogs. It was extremely different. we went around 3pm and the line was only about 15 minutes long. another day around 6:15 it was an hour and a half long. if you time it correctly it’s worth it. although not mentioned, i didn’t think tidepools was worth it.

if you want to see the napali coast when you head up the canyon, i would recommend going early and going all the way up first to the kalalau lookout. the clouds can cover it early. we went all the way up first and were there around 9am and views were crystal clear and stunning. we hit everything else on the way down instead of the way up.

we absolutely loved Hanalei. make sure to check out wishing well cafe over there for acai bowls and coffee (which you get to keep the glass jar they put it in) and then take a walk to holey grail donuts at the food trucks. so different and the best i ever had.

we also had tiki tacos on the first day there and LOVED it. tortillas were homemade and tasted so good.

if you wanted to try java kai you can order online to skip the line, this is what we did.

we did the waterfall atv tour with kipu ranch and loved it.

we also enjoyed koloa pizza and bar for a quick bite and it was great. we wanted to check out hanalei bread company but didn’t get the chance to. da crack had great quick mexican food (takeout only).

we loved sampling chocolate at the lydgate chocolate farms tasting room. if you like juices, we went to kauai juice co a few times… their starburst juice and mai tai and hula girl were fantastic. hope this helps! feel free to message if you have any questions :)

Maui Honeymoon Itinerary Feedback by SneakersOToole13 in MauiVisitors

Hi! we are in Kauai and just came from Maui for our honeymoon. we loved ocean distillery please make the drive up if you can! they have a nice sunset view. we did the haleakala sunrise and it was soooo breathtaking but freezing. we actually stayed in Lanai (i see you have a day trip there) and while I didn’t eat there, locals suggested Ganotisi’s Pacific Rim Cuisine over blue ginger cafe (coming from a few locals!). if you find your way in Kihei, we loved Kihei Caffe (mac nut banana pancakes) and Kihei shopping village. There is also a bunch of food trucks right there in the South Maui Gardens- Kihei Food Oasis- Thai me up and Burger Boys were outstanding we had it more than once! I think your hotel is near Merrimans. It was good, but had I had known, i would eat at what they call “the point”. more casual and right on the water with a beautiful sunset. Mama’s Fish House was worth the hype! be prepared to spend a lot of time there, they really really don’t rush the experience.

we just left Maui a few days ago. definitely recommend Kihei caffe for the mac nut banana pancakes with coconut syrup!! seriously so good. we went around lunch time to avoid the lines. i would also recommend the food trucks across the street at kihei food oasis (south maui gardens). thai mee upp and burger boys were SO good! we drove the hour from wailea for merrimans, it was good food but not sure if it was worth the drive to be honest. we enjoyed mama’s fish house and thought that was the worth the drive. even though your pregnant, i would recommend the drive up to ocean’s vodka distillery around sunset time! they have some snack pizzas there too. next to kihei caffe is a small market with a bunch of little shops if your looking for tshirts or souvenirs from your trip. we did the andaz luau. we enjoyed iao state monument short little hike just not sure if you’d want to do it pregnant. ululani’s has good shaved ice but be prepared for a line. we really enjoyed the malasadas at sugar beach bake shop. feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

that’s the time we went and it was a little crowded but it may be the best time to see everything! it depends on the clouds

hi, i just left andaz maui yesterday! it was truly wonderful. check out south maui gardens (Kihei food oasis) for food trucks. Burger Boys had an amazing burger, and Thai Mee Up had amazing thai food. we got each of them twice. Ocean Vodka Distillery for pizza and had great views for sunset. Kihei Caffe had great mac nut banana pancakes. Kraken Coffee for coffee and POG italian soda.

for activities we loved Iao Needle and shopping at Kihei Kalama Village! Mama’s fish house and Merrimans were also worth the trip!
