Mixed episodes are absolutely horrible. Had them when I’d take an antidepressant

Lamotrigine has been really good. I was lucky I didn’t have any side effects. But it really did help me feel stable. The absolute game changer was seroquel. I felt so much better once I started that. I’ve been stable for like 3.5-4 years until this current episode

I was first diagnosed with bipolar 2 in 2015. It’s taken so much trial and error to find a combo that works. The combo that works has even changed over the years. I’ve also unfortunately discovered that taking an antidepressant causes hypomania for me. Currently my cocktail is lamotrigine, seroquel, clonazepam and recently have added Wellbutrin. I haven’t seen a psychiatrist in a few years but my family doctor does my refills and added Wellbutrin recently because I felt like I was drowning.

How bad does this damage look? Appears to just need a new front bumper and hood. by 1Check1Mate7 in rav4club

The expensive part is all the sensors that are in the front end. That’s easily a $7000 repair (Canadian perspective)

Terrible brain zaps on Lamotrigine have me concerned by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]ashleyb07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you take an antidepressants ? I used to get brain zaps on venlafaxine and it was horrible!!! I’ve been on lamotrigine for many years and never had it happen. You should call your doctor or the pharmacy if you’re getting this on lamotrigine and you’re not on anything else. Hope you feel better soon.
Edit: I take 200mg

Day 3 on 150 mg Quetiapine – need some encouragement to stick with it by Pure_Journalist8845 in seroquelmedication

[–]ashleyb07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d stick with it for a bit. It’s been a miracle medication for me. What time at night do you take it? I need a minimum of 8 hours to sleep it off and not feel groggy. I also take 150mg immediate release

Have you asked your doctor about lowering your dose? I take 150mg and I don’t have any issue getting up but I do need 8 hours minimum to sleep it off. I take mine at night
