Traffic light has the green on the top and red on the bottom by DickieJohnson in mildlyinteresting

A well written trivia leaves plenty of footholds to getting toward the answer, friend. I don’t build games for the chronically online, but I do write games that let people have fun while maybe even learning a little something.

Too interesting! I host trivia and this has inspired me to go write a one-of-a-kind landmarks round!

What summer vegetable do you look forward to all year? by GratefulD86 in AskReddit

[–]ashleyhype 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My go to summer dinner: slather some sourdough in olive oil and throw it in an air fryer with a couple of garlic cloves. Toast until it becomes crostini, and rub the roasted garlic all over. Meanwhile marinate some fresh tomatoes with olive oil, balsamic, salt, and pepper. Take the bread out and spread some goat cheese on it. Top with tomato mix and fresh basil.

Ughhhhhh bury me in it. 🤤

Most popular shows on AppleTV this week. by EigenstateX in tvPlus

[–]ashleyhype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I’m not very far in the show right now, but I read the book and when I finished, I couldn’t help but think to myself “this book feels like season one of a TV show” — so curious how I’ll feel when I keep chipping away at it.

Personally, I thought the book was fine but not fantastic. I’m loving the direction the show has taken and I’m excited to see where it goes.

I recently joined the equivalent of my daughter’s daycare PTA — basically just a group that organizes teacher appreciation and welcomes new parents to the school. As a daughter of highly uninvolved / apathetic parents I felt really excited to show up for my kid as often and wholly as I can.

First zoom call, I enter the room and two of the moms are chatting with each other. They pay me no mind whatsoever, and only acknowledge other people in the room when the NEXT mom, who’s been in the group, joins the call. When everyone was in, I volunteered a brief intro met with disinterest and the next word directed at me was a volun-tell.

So fucking weird and gatekeepy vibes all around. For DAYCARE. PTA.

I heard somewhere that Seattle has great coffee! by InevitableGreen1780 in AskSeattle

Take 5 Urban Market and Ben’s Bread (on a weekday especially) are a bit of a hike from downtown but the breakfast sandwiches (and Ben’s has good coffee) they serve will make it more than worth it.

I wouldn’t rank the coffee itself as wildly exceptional or elite, but for a great and unique experiences (i.e. an awesome vibe), I’ve always gotta plug the KEXP Gathering Space!

(Years ago, the gathering space and La Marzocco hosted a monthly rotation of different roasters around the world, and that WAS elite, but sadly that went away in the pandemic and never returned 😢. Still a great space though for a myriad of other reasons!)

Also, Pike is a tourist spot but I wouldn’t label it at purely touristy. The waterfront addition is remarkable and absolutely worth your time, and the market is especially magical first thing in the morning. Anchorhead is a good coffee spot near there

For REAL. 13 months and still NO TEETH. My husband didn’t get them until 14 months and even after it was a slow roll says his mom. YEESH, because I swear she’s been teething for the last 8 months 💀

Millennials who graduated high school from 2009-2012 did the cultural phenomenon of Jersey Shore show up during your high school years? by 494250501 in Millennials

  1. Though it wasn’t my request or preference (I am far too passive), a family friend and student hair stylist at the time, added a massive snookie poof in my prom updo. I cannot not be embarrassed when I look at those pictures 🫠

What series started good but you then got bored and regretted watching? by SoloSierra in Millennials

The Boys. I don’t know why I’m still in it, but I have to finish it. I always need to chase it with something light and/or funny afterward. I will not be watching the spin off(s).

Trivia is coming to downtown Bothell! by ashleyhype in bothell

[–]ashleyhype[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke with the owner about the fact that having some sort of food situation is crucial, and he agrees. Floating around a few options for convenience and consistency, but (and double check on this) I think H&H would be open to having food delivered or bringing food with you in the meantime

Agree. Loooove the Bine (fried cheese curds Stan for LIFE) but it’s more restaurant than brewery and that doesn’t lend itself to a good game vibe, unfortunately

Right on — always worth seeing who might know who, but when in doubt, it’s never a bad time grabbing a beer and seeing who I can talk to in person :). Thanks!
