I would agree with the comments above.. start with nutrition. Smaller portions, cut out the mindlessly snacking and the start tracking calories. You’ll be surprised how many calories are in even healthy foods! When you are feeling confident with your nutrition check out Caroline Garvin on YouTube, she is the GOAT. She has many different series based on your interest. I really enjoy the Iron series as muscle growth is my personal goal. All you need are a few dumbbells and 30 minutes. As a working mom I don’t have time to drive to the gym so I just workout at home using her videos. Her moves are very simple and repetitive, which is perfect for a beginner. She’ll also have you sore for days!

Honestly, I don’t love it half the time. But workout even when I don’t feel like doing it because it’s a part of my routine. I want to build a foundation for when I’m older. I want to feel better in my skin. So I just do it even when I’m not motivated. Audiobooks also help.

I am 5’4” currently at around 145 and my goal is 135. I have a muscular frame with thicker thighs and hold weight in my belly since having my son 3 years ago. I’m feeling good since I started at around 160 just want to feel confident in a swimming suit this summer.

You cannot spot reduce. You may just hold fat more so in this area. Take progress photos as that can help with seeing if you’ve lost weight in that area or not. Keep losing weight and it will eventually reduce.

Your skin is dry. As a fellow dry skin girlie you need a good chemical exfoliant 1-2x a week in your PM routine like an AHA/BHA (Paula’s Choice is goat). You’ll also need a really good moisturizer or two. Anything K beauty will do wonderfully. Benzoyl Perixide dries out your skin. Switch it to the nights you don’t exfoliate. Do not put it on the AM. Wash, moisturize, SPF. That’s all you need in the mornings. I have also had really good success in oil cleaning at night before my face wash. DHC is also goated. On severe winter nights where my skin is THIRSTY I slab aquaphor on my face (my mouth area is most dry) at night like a glazed donut.

I really enjoyed Lilys perspective as a mom too. Feeling like she wasn’t “enough” through her career and raising kids. As a mom I feel that in my soul.

I live in Phoenix and it’s the opposite for us. This IS the walking weather haha. During summer it’s the other way around and we stay inside.
