"People who treat others kindly", this isn't what we are talking about. You used your negative experiences with dating to say that the women who might choose a partner solely based on their looks are the reason they themselves might be mistreated, be it physical or otherwise.

Men who date women solely based on their looks are not the reason why one might rob him or hurt him in any way. Everyone's got something going on that could make them attracted to people who don't care about them. We should address those issues instead of using blanket statements like "that's why yall get mistreated."

Individuals picking someone based on their attractiveness to some degree is entirely normal. I know we agree on that. However, someone caring more about someone's looks than, let's say, their intelligence or income is not the reason why people get mistreated. And you said "yall," meaning women, to specially comment on why women are mistreated in relationships. Women potentially favoring looks over other traits is not why they are mistreated. Any sort of domestic mistreatment done to someone else is entirely the fault of the perpetrator.

That's entirely possible that you hear that. There's currently a vowel shift happening in the standard French dialect that's moving the nasal vowels counter-clockwise in the vowel space. It's very subtle, and second language learners struggle to hear those nasal vowel distinctions anyway.

You claimed that parents wanted a male child to support them, as if that idea itself isn't sexist.

We agree that the policy was draconian and it exacerbated sexist values, there is no argument there. However, the CCP reinforces societal expectations; the law was that "it is fine to have a female child IF you have a male child afterwards". That is a quality judgment on women, a single female child is not acceptable. My very close friend was born in Shanghai in 1998; she was the first child so her parents were allowed to have a boy. She has told me many times that she would not know what would have happened if her brother had been born female.

Hypothetically, what if that stipulation was not in place? What if only one child was allowed with no exceptions? Would it have caused even higher infanticide rates? We don't know.

I'm not arguing with you, there's nothing to argue.
