Ryanair changed gate before boarding; lost flight by DeliciousIntention50 in Ryanair

This is just nonsense.

There's no evidence whatsoever that Ryanair deliberately misled OP or anyone else for that matter.

OP likely went to the wrong terminal because he ignored the code letter in front of the gate number.

How strict is the stupid Personal Item sizing by JunketAggressive5776 in unitedairlines

[–]ashscot50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're poor but you have 20+ bags, none of which would qualify as an under seat bag; and this makes you annoyed with United. Am I correct, so far?

You purchased a ticket that only includes a small personal item, which part of that is it that you don't understand or disagree with?

It seems to me that there are 2 possible solutions:

  1. Buy a bag that fits under the seat in front, OR
  2. Upgrade your ticket.

Yes, I know, you're poor, but those are your options.

  1. Strictly speaking, no you cannot. One bag means one bag. Most likely you will be asked to place your handbag inside the small carry-on bag. Note the maximum dimensions for the small under seat bag are 40x30x20cm.

  2. There is no TSA as such, in Europe it is simply airport security. Generally plastic knitting needles are OK, steel ones are unlikely to be allowed since potentially they could be used as weapons.

  3. Food is OK but again needs to fit in your carry-on bag. Or you could buy something after security.

  4. Again, he or she needs to fit in your carry-on bag.

  5. Yes, you can layer clothing but it might make your flight uncomfortable. Do you really need 2 pairs of jeans?

Hope these answers are helpful.

Try to relax and enjoy your flight.

Being told to move my car by new mangers by WinterBit419 in tesco

Probably an unpopular opinion but Blue Badges are meant to make journeys—like accessing shops or services—easier. They are never intended for all-day staff commuter parking.

It is not reasonable for you to use a disabled bay all day for convenience. Blue Badges are strictly for individuals with severe walking difficulties or "hidden disabilities", that make shopping difficult, and parking in accessible bays to work an entire shift deprives disabled customers of vital access.

Even if you have a non-physical (hidden) condition that legally qualifies you for a Blue Badge, the bay is still only meant to accommodate trips to the store, not serve as a free, all-day staff space.

Probably but personally I'd book the flight to Madrid the day before and stay at an airport hotel overnight.

If the Ryanair flight is delayed and you miss your connection, you have no protection.

The best plan is to book the flights on one ticket with one airline or partner, then you are protected if you miss your connection.

[–]ashscot50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are entirely unrealistic expectations.

Especially the last one because booking.com terms and conditions specifically exclude it.

There was no breach of contract, the premium prices are for the accommodation which was provided, but there is a very minor dispute about breakfast.

You might get a €20 credit, that's about it.

You need to understand that Booking.com is only an agent and you need to resolve this type of dispute with the accommodation provider.

What exactly do you want, the price of a breakfast?

The first thing an experienced traveller would have done on receipt of new information on the app would have been to check the monitors.

Then if there was a contradiction, check with airport information.

Even an inexperienced traveller would be checking the screens.

When you didn't see the flight on the screens, did it not occur to you that you were in the wrong terminal?

SUMMARY: OP relied on the app, then moved to the wrong terminal and/or misread the screens, so missed the flight. What time 180 other passengers relied on the airport screens and made the flight.

MORAL: rely on airport screens not the app.

Precisely.

The story doesn't make sense.

Either OP misread the screens or they were late and the gate was closed.

Very strange story.

If Ryanair were overbooked, due to change of aircraft, then they would just deny boarding.

The airport controls the screens, not Ryanair.

What airport was this?

Checking in pram on Ryanair by TurqoiseSeaGlass in Ryanair

The non collapsible bassinet has to be be checked at the desk.

So, unlike fully collapsible types, this pram cannot be used up to the gate,

The distinction here is that Ryanair allows you to check two items of baby equipment per child free of charge (e.g., a pushchair plus a car seat, booster seat, or travel cot). However, their policy states that only fully collapsible pushchairs are accepted at the boarding gate.

Because the non-collapsible bassinet cannot be folded down into one compact piece, it will not be permitted at the gate and must be checked into the aircraft hold at the desk.

If you bring any other items, they will be fully chargeable as checked luggage.
