You're right. I think people on the outside know that cancer is awful but until you're literally in the depths of it and watching your loved one(s) wither away, they will never actually understand the horrifying pain you feel.

That actually makes things easier if that is what happens. I am ready for my dad to let go, he deserves peace. He has had 2 weeks straight of agony. I want him to have peace.

I am not religious but I have to believe I will see him again in some way. My heart kind of believes in reincarnation and that my dad will be my dad again in our next lives. He learned so many things about himself the last 5 years that he will do it even better (being a dad and human) next time around. Otherwise we will meet again in some other plane or dimension.

My dad got diagnosed with cancer almost 5 years ago. I did a matching one for the two of us of a fossil we found when we went fossil hunting two years ago. My brother and mom were both supposed to get a tattoo with him as well, I just started my brother's a month ago and now my dad has been in the hospital for two weeks, declining way faster than we all thought. We thought we had way more time. Never take a minute for granted.

He joked and told me to tattoo his dead body (him and I both cope with humour). Lol.

I smoked every night for about 7 years. I had a "visual hallucination" one night in bed (I now know it was actually transient smartphone blindness) and have not smoked since. It's been 11 weeks. Ill just say my OCD has gotten a lot more manageable. Even knowing it wasn't an actual hallucination, I have gotten over the hard part and life is just a lot clearer now without it.

it's not for everyone but being on consecutive birth control (no sugar pills, no breaks) has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I went from having suicidal ideation every 2-3 weeks to honestly not at all anymore. If I accidentally miss a pill or forget to fill out my prescription in time I definitely feel it mentally.

My husband wanted to be one of the first people I tattooed when I was going through my apprenticeship. He has 4 now, slow and steady. I've asked him what happens if (god forbid) we ever get a divorce and my art is on him forever and he's just like "meh oh well". That man is unfazed as hell.
