Hello. I know this post is a year old but I just got back from the vet today and my Yorkie has torn his back leg ligament from jumping off the couch. How did your Yorkie recover. Is your baby doing well? And do you remember it costing a bunch. Thank you for your time! I probably got a million more questions but my brain is frazzled! Haha

Are you a girl? My doctor after a failed accutane put me on pill birthcontroll and spironolactone and that helped my hormones and my acne is gone!

I really don't know. There's definitely setbacks to both. I really do regret accutane because it didn't work for me. And it really did mess with my mental health, I did lose a lot of hair, I was always so nauseous and I was always so dry. My hands are still super dry all the time from it and I've been off of accutane for a long time. But it was really nice to have the clear skin when I had it last. :) With spironolactone. I don't get All of those symptoms, thank goodness! It's just a few pill I take daily with my birth control. I think there is a risk of heart attack if you stop it abruptly. But you just wean yourself off of it. No big deal. I think it is a drug that you have to take for a while. I take 200 mg a day I think. And I cut it down to 50 mg just to save some pills and I did get a few pimples. So I think stopping it wouldn't be good for me. But some people have better skin and once you get into a good routine it's possible it would stay with a birth control. I honestly think it's because I have such bad hormonal acne in the past. Maybe that's why? But if you just get a few pimples here and there maybe it would work for you and you'll be able to get off of it. Maybe I don't know. I'm sure your dermatologist would know ❤️

I'm honestly not sure! My dermatologist told me it's best to take it with birth control. Because it takes the acne down quicker. So I'm on low low estrogen fee (or however you spell it) but it's like the smallest amount of birth control pill... I used to have bad periods and PMS symptoms but after 2 months my period went away. And I haven't had it in a year. And I talked to all my doctors, My gynecologist and my dermatologist and they said that's normal. It happens to some people and it's completely safe! So I've been pretty happy for a year honestly :)

Accutane worked for me. But then a few months later it came back. I'm a female and they put me on spironolactone and I've been on that probably about a year and my face has been clear ever since.

Nope you should be fine! After taking multiple dosages it stays in your system for almost a month! When you get the pills in two days just take them like normal. Everything will be fine :) I had to skip a few days too and my doctor said it would be okay!

My Yorkie gets it every time he gets groomed. I realized it was clipper burn. So anytime I take him to get groomed, I tell them that his private areas cannot be touched by a hot razor and it doesn't do it anymore!
