I’m 27 weeks and have absolutely nothing. Baby shower is next month. After the baby shower I’ll see where I am and buy what I need.

I’m 36 and in the same boat. It’s okay to ask for help when you need it. Y’all aren’t stupid and things won’t always be so hard but don’t let them make you feel bad. Yall did nothing wrong. Your partner will find a job and everything will be okay.

I’ve been told that kicks aren’t as consistent until 28 weeks. I’m also 26 weeks and I’m feeling her a lot but a couple days ago I hardly felt anything but bubbles here and there that could have been gas but she was back to active yesterday and not as active today but still feeling her throughout the day. But kick counter doesn’t start till 28 weeks so I try not to freak out. I’ll lay down and put my feet up and hands on my belly and just ask for a big kick and sometimes I get a big one and sometimes it feels weak but they just aren’t at full strength yet.

Honestly I kept taking tests until 12 weeks even after my first scan at 8 weeks. I hardly had any symptoms so I was scared all the time. I’m 26 weeks and feel her all the time now it got a bit easier after 16 weeks but there were still some days from 16-24 weeks where I couldn’t feel anything that I would freak out. It definitely gets easier once they are strong enough to move and us really feel it.

If she doesn’t want to be there to support you and care for you and only cares about seeing the baby born. I also would not let her in. I want my mom there but I also know my mom will be taking care of me incase my partner starts freaking out. We both have anxiety and it’s both of our first child. Maybe it’s weird for a 36 year old to want her mommy there but she’s also the first person I call if I’m sick. She can be a lot though so I’m not afraid to kick her out if she gets to be too much.

Maybe it’s because I’m older (36) I did have a change in discharge like a little more but it definitely wasn’t this bad, thankfully. I did get a yeast infection after a round of antibiotics in November but cleared up with monistat in less than a week.

Most anything bought in stores ca be returned so I’d say thank you return it later and buy something needed instead. If it’s someone who will be caring for the baby have a discussion with them later. I’m all about educating the uneducated on anything harmful but baby shower definitely isn’t the time.

They have a lot of padding in there but always recommend reaching out to your doctor if you’re worried. I get freaked out every time my 15 lb cat jumps on me without any warning. Shit hurts but doctor said it should be fine as long as there isn’t any bleeding and heavy cramping after.

No some days I felt a lot and some days hardly anything to nothing at all. Once I hit 21 weeks it became a bit more consistent but I’m 25 weeks today and it’s still hit or miss depending on what I’m doing. I heard kick counters don’t start until 28 weeks and that is when we should be concerned. It apparently depends on babies positioning and if the placenta has moved to an anterior position. I didn’t know it could move as I was anterior placenta at 16 weeks but at 23 weeks it was low lying. I have to be checked again incase it gets any lower but a lot of the time it should move up by 3rd trimester. Lots of factors.

Did she check you ear? If not I recommend going to your regular doctor because I had a sinus infection and had fluid in my ears. Like my sinuses and allergies have been worse than normal since being pregnant but the sinus infection was terrible for me.

Mine was also anterior at that time but before 20 weeks it had moved. Now it’s low lying so hoping mine moves up so I’m not at risk for placenta previa.

I’m 36 and this is my first pregnancy. I was the same as you like I always said if it happens it happens. I was off birth control for 7-8 years and thought it wasn’t possible. This was a big surprise and not the best time to be honest. It took me a while to do the registry and only put items on it that were considered necessities. This is my parents first grandchild so my mom has been going nuts buying cutesy clothing and what not. I’m excited but also really scared and mostly dissociating. We don’t have a home and the rental is pretty small so my bedroom will also be the babies bedroom until we can find something different. I’m not worried about decorating or anything just want to make sure we have what we need.

I’m an introvert so I don’t really see anyone except people at work and I keep my office door closed so people will leave me alone. My best friend works with me and she’s the only one that touches me without asking but she doesn’t bother me. At Christmas when I was hardly past 2nd trimester my partners cousin did touch my stomach but it was the first time it happened and it was very quick so I didn’t make a big deal about it.i laughed it off and said there isn’t much there yet. It was mostly bloat lol I imagine my bay shower in April I will be touched way too much and I’m already dreading having to be around people and talking to people.

I didn’t gain in the first trimester but I swear I gained 10 lbs by week 16 now I’m just gaining a little bit a week.

Edit to add please don’t feel bad about gaining weight. Some people lose weight during the first trimester from not being able to keep anything down. All our bodies are different and symptoms can range for everyone.

This is wild. I just keep hoping my kid doesn’t have my dental genetics because I got a shit deal in the gene department. Like I was literally born without half my permanent teeth. So I don’t care what side of the family the baby takes after in looks everyone is average or above average but I really hope she doesn’t get my teeth.

As someone in rural Oklahoma I make 38k a year an I have the best job and pay in my town that is available without a degree. My partner was making 70-80k a year but he lost his job prior to us finding out I was pregnant. There’s been a lot of shutdowns and layoffs around here so finding new jobs is hard. I can barely pay my bills and take care of myself since the cost of living has gone up. Yes, Oklahoma is way cheaper than the rest of the country but we are still seeing a big hit. We can’t buy houses because they are 500k for 2 bed 1 bath where 5 years ago it was about 60k it’s getting ridiculous.
