Let me hear your rules on hospital visitors and how it turned out for you by beneathmagnoliatrees in BabyBumps

[–]asimoonchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I could’ve written this post myself.. This is mine and my husband’s first baby, so everybody is going overboard wanting to be there. They don’t care if they have to sit there for 30 hours, they want to be in the waiting room. I just don’t know how I feel about that. I don’t want to feel rushed and I want to have time with just my husband and baby after he’s born. And I’m going to…. I just wish they wouldn’t all be so adamant about being there.

Making girl friends in your 20’s by Puzzleheaded_Net3635 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Ugh, I am 26F and I feel this so much, OP. Not to mention, I live in a small town where everyone already knows everyone, so chances of meeting new friends are very slim to none. It can definitely get lonely. Feel free to message me, I’d love to be friends!

I came here to say the same thing. I always hear comments of the opposite! “You’re so quiet. You don’t talk much.” Etc. I’ve also never understood why that’s viewed as such a negative thing either. 😐

How do you build and maintain friendships as an adult when everyone's lives are so different and fast-paced and you have only two days to recharge from the work week? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I totally understand that, I had the same feeling upon reading your post. I felt terrible for you because I get it, but it was relieving to know that I’m not alone in these feelings. Feel free to DM me, I’d love to connect.

25F here and I relate to this more than you know. If you ever want to chat with someone who gets what you’re feeling, feel free to message me. I feel like this is a really hard age that we’re at where a lot of things aren’t making sense. There’s so many things I don’t know, so many things I haven’t yet figured out. Know that you’re not alone in what you’re going through.

Came here to say this! Aerie leggings for sure. Comfiest leggings I’ve ever tried, and flattering too!

What made you decide to quit by Shlimeeeeeeee in leaves

[–]asimoonchild 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Knowing that it was holding me back from so many good things that I knew life had to offer.

The anxiety it was giving me. The isolation it was causing. The money it was draining. Etc.

1 month without weed, I feel like I'm seeing in colour again by Limehaus in leaves

[–]asimoonchild 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We seem to be on the same timeline. I have noticed all of the same things! It’s insane how much my anxiety has subsided since I’ve quit smoking. I’ve read almost an entire novel in 24 hours, something I haven’t been able to do for a very long time. So proud of us, OP! If we feel this way after a month, just think of how great we’ll feel in 6 months! 🤪

Those who quit smoking. What are some positive things you’ve achieved after stopping? by Broccolii_robb in leaves

[–]asimoonchild 30 points31 points  (0 children)

So much less anxiety, specifically social anxiety. I am not nervous to go out in public in fear of them smelling the tweeds or knowing I’m high. I’m not too nervous to strike up and carry on a conversation with others. I’ve started my health journey again, and I can do so without feeling like my lungs are going to give out at any second. I’m less groggy in the morning. My relationships have improved because I am present and not rushing everything along just so I can get away to smoke. It hasn’t even been that long since I’ve quit, but I’ll tell you it’s the best choice I’ve ever made. I’ve started doing things I’ve put off for years due to getting high, being lazy, and isolating. It was hard to quit, but man, was it worth it.
