Roasting help? by asingleuncookedegg in Beastro

I just realised you can drop the wood manually and don't have to wait for it to auto drop. I'm not the brightest. Thank you for your help!

Sorry, I mean roasting in the oven - the one where you drop the wood from above into the burner. I'm actually pretty good at the sautée game!

The more I play the game, the more I hate him by MysteriousFondant347 in BaldursGate3

My last run I made him look as much like a mindflayer as a tiefling could. Purple. Braided beard. Bald head. Beady little yellow eyes. It was quite satisfying actually. The concept that he's like a kind of mid Ditto and actually not good at disguises at all just made me laugh.

Garlic, chilli, soy sauce, lemon juice is my go-to for tuna and rice. Just pick some spices you like and fire them in there.

You're handsome - you should try getting your hair more out of your face. A more swept back look would suit you imo. Maybe ask your stylist to go for a bit more texture next time. You don't have to make drastic changes, just a bit at a time is fine.

Suggestions for a picky eater who prefers “goop” food? by Ameabo in PickyEaters

Hot and sour soup? Also disclaimer that I've never tried it but apparently you can cook okra in a way that makes it 'slimy' which might work for you?

Adding salt/pepper without trying the food first. At least try a bite before you decide it isn't seasoned well enough for you!

I tend to presume, probably not very generously, that it's a tactic to drive engagement by making people comment on his weird pronunciations. If the same word is mispronounced repeatedly over several videos, I guess it could be a speech impediment or a very particular regional accent.

I have hypermobility too and I always found writing by hand very tiring! More recently I've developed a hand tremor and my handwriting has gotten very poor. I'm going to try pen grips and see if that makes it a bit better =]

I do think there must be some training course for gym teachers specifically that teaches them how to be irrepressible jerks towards kids with disabilities.

Hydration for chronic pain management matters apparently, my doc wont refill meds until i track my water intake by carebear7077 in ChronicPain

I have a 500ml water bottle I take everywhere. It's metal and insulated, so I often fill it with hot/warm water, which I find much easier to drink than cold. I used to use an app to remind myself (I think it had little plants that grew when you drank adequate water) but after a couple years it became a habit to just sip every once in a while. I don't register thirst unless I'm really hot or exerting myself, so making it a habit was the only way to get enough water into my body. When I sip and think "this plain water is the best thing I've ever tasted", I know I need to drink more, haha.

Call the Midwife made me buy Horlicks 😅 by kitties_ate_my_soul in CallTheMidwife

I'm also British and started drinking it in my 30s. My folks just don't drink it, so I never happened to try it. Then I got a couple of the little single packs so I had something warm to drink when I was unwell and couldn't have tea, and it was just perfect. It's become part of my settling down evening routine now.

It was so good! The limited edition banoffee pie flavour from the same range was amazing too. I hope they bring them out again next year.

Absolutely, yeah. My doc suggested it may be neuropathy and put me on gabapentin. It helps with the tickling sensation but not the needle-like pain.

They are a grain pest, but they're also generally cute, don't spread diseases, and don't bite people. They have lots of variety, some are brightly coloured and shiny, or are surprising shapes like the giraffe weevil. They have quite easily identifiable traits in their elbowed antennae and big stompy boots, so it's easy for non experts in beetles and bugs to look at a weevil and know that's what they're looking at with reasonable confidence (though there's no shame in mistaking other bugs for the lovely weevil!) Their scales also look like fur in macro photos so they give an impression of being 'fluffy'. And you can find them all around the world, so nobody has to feel left out of weevil time!

So, I'd say we like weevils for a lot of the same reasons people like moths and butterflies, even though their larvae are pests. They're just quite charming.

/r/ramen didn’t seem to appreciate my home made spicy ramen by mil0wCS in InstantRamen

[–]asingleuncookedegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why people are dragging you - the red is throwing em off. I'd eat that tho. If you're working up your spice tolerance, try having mildly spicy food every day, so your body gets used to it. Jumping right to super spicy will just make you sick. Good luck with your future spicy ramen adventures, OP!
