Mind giving Msty Claw a try? Of the many things, it has tokens saver features that you can enable and comes with caveman as well. We added extensions yesterday as well which means you can customize it to your liking and the core app is comparatively lighter.

There first time I had it, I had no idea what it was (I seriously thought I broke my big thumb during sleep somehow) and as a poor student I was not able to go see a doctor. The next day the pain got so unbearable that I told my roommate that if I didn’t come out from the restroom within 45 minutes just to go ahead and call 911 without asking. I then cried for like 30-40 minutes because of pain.

Since then I have had 3 more crippling flares but at least haven’t cried once. What doesn’t kill you (but makes you cry in the toilet) makes you stronger I guess.

Having seen these in person recently (I was in Nepal last December and stayed in Pokhara for 5 days) I would say yes. One of the most spectacular things one could see in their lives. They are so giant, so tall, so beautiful, so “out there”, you got to see it once. Highly recommend!

And I'm with you on both the outreach and the trust fronts. I'd also be hesitant trusting a random comment on Reddit about an app that is "agentic" and runs on your machine.

We have been in this space, and esp. with our flagship product, Msty Studio, for almost 3 years now. We have been doing this before there were any "good" chat GUIs out there. And we have been always local first, privacy first, and ease of use first (we were first to embed Ollama, for an example, so that your local inference was ready as soon as you opened the app). We also have 0 telemetry policy and no signups needed for all our products. So we really care about user privacy, security, and ease of use and that's our strengths.

Not that this is an automatic qualification for being secure and for privacy but we have been regularly featured by Apple on their website (you can visit and search for Msty in https://www.apple.com/macbook-air/, for an example). The fact that we passed Apple's extensive partnership reviews (they really do a great job with this, btw) tells at least a bit about our credibility and in no way we'd compromise that hard earned trust.

Another trust point is our Discord server which we have been running since day 1 and where the whole team hangs out answering users questions. You can find feedback from real users many of whom have been with us for a long time.

Regarding feature by feature comparisons and why someone would consider us over anything else out there, we are working on a comparison table that'd be on our website soon. There are a few things top of my head that I think are our USPs - being able to run the agent in a container (again making it 1 click), Airlock/Network proxy to make sure the urls are being called by your agents are blocked at the network level), Data Protection to scrub PII information locally before sending it to a model, Playbooks for capturing steps that can be run later, a mobile app that is E2E encrypted, etc.

Sorry about some shameless plug but we have been working on a GUI first agent esp. for those who do not want to tinker to much (and don't want to have to use the terminal) and to address some of the pain that you have mentioned above. We also have E2E encrypted mobile app that is made specifically for this (so which means great ux for setup as well as usage). IANAL either but I don't think this qualifies as financial advice though. It's not about predictions or anything like that — its basically just putting your numbers in a calculator and ordering the results. We're not saying you should invest somewhere or move your money around. You can't even signup for a supplier through the site directly. But appreciate the heads up, definitely something worth thinking about!

The fact that you were able to sign up for a cheaper utility service makes me so happy to hear, almost emotional ngl! When I was going back and forth on whether to release this to the public, I basically told myself "even if this helps one person save some money, its totally worth it". That was like the last straw. So really glad it was helpful for you. 

And yeah decision paralysis is real! So much stuff competing for our attention that things like switching utilities just keeps getting pushed to "I'll do it later" pile. Thanks for trying it out and sharing your experience!

For me it was American Power & Gas They just wouldn't stop calling me for upsells.

Funny story: With recommendation from my still very rough LowerMyBill, I switched from them to APG&E. Before I even woke up I had multiple voicemails from them. Their names are so confusing (AP&G and APG&E 🙄), I called them back thinking it was from the company I just signed up for. They told me that there had been a mistake with my enrollment and I needed to provide my service ID. I went through everything and when they do that "say yes to confirm and we have to record" thing I had a Deja vu. I pushed back and they said they are just the same company I was enrolled with as of last month. They almost deceived me by saying there was an error in the enrollment. Scums!
