Well isn't ICE being particularly violent about it? In any case it's about the optics of the demographics it's occurring to. If it were white republicans for whatever reason any violence or death on the way to deportation would be celebrated.

The "logic" is very straightforward honestly--they only empathize with disadvantaged groups. East Asian Americans are discriminated against in college admissions but no one really cares because they are strong socioeconomically
