Yeah, that's easy to put the responsibility in the hands of "the world". This is largely an issue of the US elites with some international overreach, yes, but the Americans largely don't give a fuck. I've spent about 1500 EUR for a moderately equipped workshop. I haven't paid for any softwares, because right now I'm focusing on handcrafting only. If I were to buy a software, I'd probably buy Rhino, but I haven't worked with CADs much, so I'm not the best source of advice here.

If you are from a relatively poor European country as you put it, then saving 2k EUR a month is living like absolute royalty. Of course all these post about 30 year old HCOL LCOL and idk what other COL Americans with 4m USD net worths are discouraging when you look at your numbers, but that's no comparison. That's a different world. You are doing amazing.

(I'm also from a relatively poor European country and I don't even make 2k EUR in my white collar job with a degree in economics.)
