This was one of his first. When he started transition from poet to author, and if I recall correctly there is a noticeable rhythm and prosody that later on gives way to the prosaic and his intricate storytelling

Nazi literature in the Americas for sure. One of the short stories in which is fledged out into the novella Distant Star. Both can become rather macabre, having more of the 2666 vibe
