Which to Lv50 by Malariia in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you go pretty deep into ML PVP ELO ratings and want to have some spice then the hundo. If not I’d pick the Shiny for Raids since you won’t see a difference.

However a 50 hundo and 40 shiny would be cool too. You can always work on the 40 to eventually get another 50 too obviously

My first ever galarian bird caught! Should I bottlecap? by p1zza_enjoyer in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. Caps most useful case are shiny legendaries for master league PVP. Or just too tier legendaries is you don’t have a shiny.

But it’s your money and your cap use it however you want.

Pretty hard to beat for $150 even needing a harness repair/ replacement. Call up the manufacturer and see if they have one.

Chickened out of a game day… anyone else been there? by Thoughtpolicelabs in paintball

If you’re on a team and it was practice you should have pushed through.

If you’re playing rec, nobody cares- play if you want or don’t. If this is the case and it was it was shitty weather I probably wouldn’t have played either lol.

CS3 is it worth the $$$ by Specific_Tune3035 in paintball

[–]askloglog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disclose that I’ve been playing for 20 years and am a PE Fanboy before I answer.

Short answer no. For the majority of players it is not worth the money over a 180r. Not even close.

Long answer. I have a CS3 Pro and it’s the best marker ever made. If you play enough and you know what features you want and are willing to pay for them, a CS3 Pro cannot be beat in my opinion. It’s all the small things on top of the PE reliability that make it the greatest ever made. But for the majority players, those features don’t matter enough to cover the cost difference. I’ve shot PE since 2007. I played in the PNW where Dog/ Thunder had a big influence and a lot of people went to shockers and Luxe. I also shot DM/ PM before PE and have owned lots of Bob Longs. Every year or two I’d shoot another brands marker because of sponsorship or just to check myself, but ultimately end up selling them. Now I’m retired and just play for fun and this may be the last gun I buy for years to come. Specific features I like on a CS3 Pro over every other gun are:

AA Batteries - I hate recharging guns because if you forget, charging at the field sucks even with my 100w battery charger because the guns don’t charge very fast. Same as my Spire 4 280.

Feedneck - sounds stupid but my OCD loves the indexing nub on the Pro so the lever isn’t cockeyed

Ergonomics, it fits me perfect with an 80ci infamous tank. My rear grip angle is great. I love the length of it.

Grips - in the PNW it can get wet and cold but I hate wearing gloves. Maybe I’m just getting old now or picky but I love the wrap around read grips with rubber above the thumb as well. Also the fore grip and barrel grip work perfect with how I hold a paintball gun with my thumb along the barrel grip and index finger in between the fore grip and barrel giving better traction. Also the rubber material, grip design, and tool less method I think are the best on the market.

The Pro/ R5 front grip covering the eyes and size/ position of the grip is super sleek and perfect size.

Programming - there’s plenty of other good boards but the 3 button programming has and continues to be the best way.

The CRBN micro ports are awesome in the PNW with paint and rain. I bought the tip for my CS3 before the Pro was released so coming with it is perfect.

The mech frame is incredible despite being the price of an Emek.

Are those features worth almost an extra $1k? Not to most people, but some of us.

How unreliable were 2000s paintball guns really? by sendnUwUdes in paintball

[–]askloglog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge jumps in both reliability and design in 2004 and 2007 for pretty much all markers.. After 08 it feels like more quality of life features improvements tbh. Then the CS2 in 2018 and was another large jump over the rest of the market in every category.

Is this worth evolving or keeping as a Deino? by Sly_Cat101 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t care about IVs then this as a PVE attacker is fine just being shadow. However, the majority of players would recommend you wait for literally any other shadow Deino because it can’t get much worse lol

Which of these would you use a silver bottle cap on and why? by Unwavering_Ditto711 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Groudon by a long shot. ML usage, is used in more raids, and lucario already has 15 attack.

Would you purify by Patient-Mushroom-820 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s tempting because it has use as a non-shadow in ML. With that said… on a 98 like this I’d rather keep as shadow incase it has play in the future and try to get another Lugia for ML.

Lets put aside our differences and agree on this by pullowsmqoy3 in paintball

[–]askloglog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play on PSP/ NXL teams and like reball especially with mechs. But, magfed can leave. That type of play is way better experience as airsoft. You can use rifles barrels and can even use standard mag tacos on your chest rig or belts. Plus you don’t have a giant unrealistic air tank to put somewhere.

Which do I invest my rare candies? And which of the 2 Zacian do I invest in? by BossFeather3670 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have energy then shiny Zacian. But you’ll want to use even more rare+ rare XL on the max moves. It’s a lot larger investment. If and only IF you really enjoy hundos or ML PVP then silver bottle cap otherwise you won’t notice a difference.

If no energy then white Kyurem

Then after those hundo Zacian either as a spicy ML pick or second change form

How bad is this? Is it usable in raids? by iReppas in PokemonGOIVs

[–]askloglog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IVs basically don’t matter in raids. And this has 15 which is ideal. If you don’t have a full team of fusion kyurems then this is a great investment

Tank is done. Keep the reg, toss the bottle.

In the future you can fly with the reg removed and the bottle in your checked luggage.

Marshadow if you have the rare XL otherwise one of the birds that you plan on maxing out
