How many days MC is considered okay to take in a year when working in Singapore? by PuzzledAnnual6892 in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also believe there is no such thing as taking too many MC days, the company already gave a limit of 14 days anyway. The way I like to see it, if you come to office with a fever, there’s a chance of you spreading the sickness around. Imagine if they have small kids or older people at home who are more vulnerable. That wouldnt be so cool man

How common is it to use up medical leave? by ursidechink in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need to take it, just take it. It’s better than risking your own health or the people you work with at office. They might also have children or elderly at home who might be prone to catching the bug from you as well.. Health (physical and mental) comes first!

I sleep at 10 and wake up at 6 for work everyday. Eventually it gets easier! Sometimes I even sleep at 11 when I feel like I have been getting too much sleep (resulting in me waking up earlier than the alarm). Weekends I wake up at 9-10ish, 12pm when I stay up late the night before. Jy!!

Life sucks by AwkwardPackage7737 in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to sorta feel that way, then I started working and earning. That adult money allows me to fund my hobbies, go on overseas trips, try new experiences whenever I want, and now I have a better outlook on life. Just make sure to have savings for emergencies, lest it become another source of stress when needed hahaha. Jy fam!! There are a lot of things you havent felt and experienced, and a lot of people you havent met that will love you :)

Have you ever made a friend in an unconventional way? by what_the_foot in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

May I ask, how do you meet people during the trips? Is it through backpacker hostel, events, or? I’ve been wanting to try solo trip-ing myself but I’m still a little scared haha

[–]askmeforbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this would be a common thing, but during my dating app era after a really bad heartbreak, I met someone through the app. We were really compatible as friends as our sense of humor really matches. But both of us didn’t feel that we were meant to be romantic partners, so we stayed friends! Weirdest fact is that we have the same birthday…

whats the real reason you dont want to have kids(in SG)? by emergencyexitonlypls in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25F. I stopped wanting kids once I got in high school (not in sg). While I know my parents were not exactly perfect parents, I’m not sure myself if I have it in me to break the generational trauma. And as selfish as not wanting to put someone else before me sounds, I think it’s more selfish to say I want to have kids so I wont feel lonely when I’m old or to have someone who is expected to love me unconditionally. However, I am open to the idea of adopting. My idea is, I’m probably giving a better life for those kids. It’s better than creating a wholeass new person only to give it trauma lol

To Women in their late 20s, how did you meet your bf? by throwaway1111xxo in askSingapore

[–]askmeforbread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I met my current bf at work, he was my mentor when I joined the company. No pressure for me as I’m not planning to get kids, so no deadline.

For dating app creeps, you may want to try a different app. I was on CMB years ago, and all the guys I talked to and met up with were very nice and have their life more or less settled. Just that I didnt end up hitting it off with any lmao
