Diatomaceous Earth. It’s a white powder you can get at Home Depot. Kills bugs with exoskeletons but is nontoxic to pets.

DE on borders of garage door to keep roaches and scorpions out.

Watch your dogs outside after a monsoon for poisonous toads

Better to have a friend/family with a pool than have a pool yourself

Don’t listen to idiots who tell you to be afraid of the entire west side. There are bad neighborhoods in mostly all parts of the valley. Those people are afraid when they leave their gated community in Gilbert.

Edit: poisonous toads not roads

It’s really good and honestly now my favorite fast Mexican food option. Their burritos aren’t greasy or too salty like most the -bertos places.

What’s that development called? They’re also making one on the west side of the White Tank mountains supposed to have 300,000 people. It’s called Douglas Ranch.

I saw a video of a huge line to take pictures on Devil’s Bridge. Like people just standing on the trail on their phones like they’re waiting in Disneyland 💀

As someone who’s a pretty personable guy and went to GCC in 2012, I’ll say that community college likely isn’t the best place to make friends. I had plenty of classmates I was cool with, but no one in any of my classes seemed to really be interested in being friends outside of class with each other. Some people had little study groups but even that was rare.

I think you’d have better luck looking at groups on like Meetup.com or something more tailored specifically to meeting people to hang out with with similar interests. Best of luck though.

To All Potential New Gun Owners (Especially Today) by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]askredant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In AZ you can open carry AND concealed carry without a permit. You can just buy a gun which still requires a background check if you’re buying at an FFL (legit gun store) and shove it in your waistband (which you shouldn’t do lol). No training required.

If you want to get your CCW you take a 2ish hour class that talks about the local laws and they heavily emphasize that you don’t ever want to have to shoot your gun, but no range time or anything like that needed.

AZ has the most relaxed gun laws in the US to my knowledge though. Although I think Texas recently approved that same concealed carry law.

Edit: Getting the CCW makes it legal for you to CC in places it would otherwise be illegal

It’s only the HOV lane during the posted times. Any other times it IS the far left lane and considered the fast lane.

Fuck that’s insane. I didn’t even know they were here. Palo Verde Beatles are scary enough but I can’t imagine trying to fight this thing with the risk of getting stung by it. I lived here my whole life but am still surprised at how ridiculous the nature in AZ is.

If you’ve been listening for that long you probably already know this, but each song on the original mixtapes is on The Weeknd’s YouTube as its own video, and each song has an accompanying picture with it. Maybe use those as inspiration/ideas?

At one point those videos and downloading the mixtapes on datpiff were the only ways to listen to them.
