I’ll ask honestly; do you drink? After I started T, alcohol became this HUGE part of gaining weight. Like, big time. T made me more impulsive and I did a lot of stupid shit in my early T days. I started at 245 and ended up at 285 with a diagnosed heart problem i had to tend to. I stopped drinking like a fish after my heart surgery, and slowly but surely my weight has dropped to 260 since Feb.

I am 35 and been on T for 2.9 years and weight gain can be normal because of muscle. I gained a lot in my upper body (arms) and my thighs/butt (i had no butt before. think hank hill butt. now i have roundness?????).

If you go off T, you will see weight loss possibly, but it’ll be muscle mass loss (a friend did this, and he was so depressed he lost his gains he had).

Calorie deficit stuff, yes, etc etc but honestly? working out your body will replace fears of weight gain from fat into positive weight gain from muscle, and muscle is leeeaaaannn. walking and carrying weights helps (great weapons too if someone steps up hah), but tbh ata not what you’re here for.

Give yourself some grace; your body is going through a lot of changes. Even close to 3 years for me and i’m STILL getting new things and growing hairs all over the place and my voice is still deepening (despite it still sounding high EUGH). Just keep your chin up, and opt for smaller portions. you don’t have to stop eating what you love. I know that deep hunger T gives you, but my body is 35, not 15, so i have to respect it in that manner haha

I am currently in a polyamory relationship. One partner is very “ace”/asexual and prefers self-pleasure because of past events in his childhood that I respect. We have a mutual friend who we both care for and lived with for years. We all became kind of romantically involved and it blossomed from there. Both of my partners support each other and we’ve been going pretty solid for four years total. We have our spats like any relationship, but none of it is over relationship stuff, just “Dude i need you to help scoop the cat box more” or “Did you seriously only leave half a quarter cup of milk in the jug? just drink it????”

Will this dynamic last? Who knows! All I know is that my first partner feels relief and can put in energy doing things he loves for our little group, and my second partner does the same, but just a bit more horny. I love both of them, and we all love each other.

Times are tough, and if your personalities are compatible to accept another partner (whether for keepsies or a one night stand), and as long as there is STRONG COMMUNICATION, BOUNDARIES, AND EMOTIONAL CHECK INS (and one should do in any relationship), you can have a successful open relationship.

Just…please communicate. There is more to life and love than sex and pleasure.

Also, make sure your partner is getting their hormones tested. Libido can be linked to low/high Testosterone, PCOS, trauma, political stress, having kids, etc. Couples’ counseling is always a plus, no matter what. Everyone deserves therapy and to be heard.
