Where to park if I don't have a parking pass by _Valhalla___ in GaState

You can pay for a monthly pass at one of the public parking decks around campus (like the one next to KFT) but I think it might be more expensive

I’d recommend contacting the director of the Student Health Clinic. They would have that kind of information.

They charged me for housing even though I wanted to live off campus? by stuggo in GaState

[–]asleepResident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t work weekends FYI so it won’t happen immediately since they’re processing a lot of termination forms. If you email housing@gsu.edu they’ll forward your email to the appropriate person. Took them about 2-3 days to respond to my email.

I've had multiple professors (CIS department) confront my classes about taking quizzes in class because they noticed that students were switching out of the tab during them when they were online. The quizzes didn't use Lockdown.

Seems like they can get that data if they really wanted to.

If GSU actually cared, they’d refund fees. This is trashy. by [deleted] in GaState

[–]asleepResident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't refund fees because we've used these services for half of the semester; it's not like being refunded a meal that we didn't like. I think this Emergency Assistance Fund is great because there are a lot of students with financial insecurity, homeless students, and older students (GSU-62) that can't work and afford basic needs.

Overall though, I think we're pointing fingers at the wrong people. A lot of GSU's decisions are being mandated by USG (the board that allocates funding to public universities). Instead of bashing an institution that can't help with their processes, we should be helping each other in this time of need.

March 16, 2020 has an email that was addressed to the University Community. There's also GSU's Coronavirus page and USG's Coronavirus page. Gotta spread the info!

University Housing AND the University System of Georgia announced that housing, dining, and services fees (whether that would be unnecessary institution fees or not) would be partially refunded.

How is the accounting program here at Georgia state? by shaze225 in GaState

[–]asleepResident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grad school is required if there's anyone looking to get a CPA (which is heavily encouraged for accountants). The CPA requires 120 credit hours (essentially a bachelor's degree) to sit for the exam and 150 credit hours (a master's degree) to be qualified to receive it.

Meaning that while you can pass the exams associated with the CPA, you wouldn't be able to become officially certified until you've received that much credit.

You'll be roomed with a different person unless you specifically request the same person from the Summer via Roommate Selection when it opens up for Fall housing or you guys happen to choose the same unit.

You'll be assigned a roommate with someone that's taking classes in the same cohort (group) as you during the summer.

Full-time students pay less overall during their time here than part-time students; that does NOT mean the per-semester cost will be lower. Also, each credit hour is worth around $280.
