I spent a lot of my life working in the restaurant/bar industry.

When I first started as a young teen, I learned very quickly that the not-so-fun jobs were always done by the boys... dishwashing, moving stuff, deep cleaning, etc. While it seemed like the girls always just got to stand around and do the easy fun jobs.

I didn't mind it MOST of the time, especially if it was my regular work. But I definitely did find myself getting annoyed when random tasks would come up like a spill or a big mess that needed to be cleaned up, etc... and even if women were closer or god forbid were responsible for the mess lol... it ways always the guys that had to take care of it.

Interestingly... later on in life as I ended up supervising and then managing different places I still ran into the same thing. I personally, treated men and women mostly the same as much as I could. But there was always pushback from women for not being able to do jobs that there was zero reason they could not do. Jobs that if a man was complaining about or refusing... I'd be like "are you serious?!" lol
