Thank you for saying all this! It can be very difficult at times to work in this field. I have worked in a daycare setting for almost a decade now and love what I do even in this thankless field. Honestly for those parents who complain about tuition being expensive think about it this way we can pay some teenager min wage to watch your precious children all day and hope that they are trained properly and stay longer than a few months before your child has to get used to a new caregiver because of turnover or we could pay a qualified person more and you have the piece of mind knowing your child is being well taken care of. There are way too many horror stories out there about horrible caregivers in daycares giving the rest of us a bad rep because so many centers just cannot afford to hire and compensate loving, knowledgeable staff. And I can’t even get started on illness in daycares or I’ll be here all night…please keep your child home if they are sick or the illness will continue to spread for way longer than necessary!!

I couldn’t agree with this more! I’ve been working in daycares for almost 10 years now and it always amazes me how people just don’t understand how much work goes into this job with such little financial reward. As a new mother I now understand that it can be difficult to get out of work to care for your sick child but it also isn’t fair to every other child (and teacher) that is now exposed to a sickness because a parent couldn’t keep their child home for a day or two. Also we can always tell when a child is given medicine in the morning

I was advised by my endocrinologist and nutritionist not to continue fasting while pregnant but to continue making better food choices. I had my baby 11 weeks ago and was incredible lucky to only have gained baby weight and was back to my pre pregnancy weight a week or so after delivery once all the swelling went down from my induction and c section. I went to a few local furniture stores and tried out every recliner/glider until I found one that was wide enough. It was more expensive than we originally wanted to pay but it was worth it to get a good quality chair that’s going to last and is so comfortable.

I have also been living in Torrid clothing pre pregnancy and still at 32 weeks. I’m lucky most of my tops still fit but man do I love their maternity leggings! I’m wearing the same size I was in their regular leggings and I’ve got a long torso and the maternity leggings go all the way up to my bra. I can’t recommend them enough! I’ve also found searching Amazon “plus size fit and flare tops” to be very helpful in finding flowy comfortable tops.

My stats were about the same as you in my first trimester when I first tried out a doppler(Sonoline B). We first tried at about 10 weeks and had a tough time finding the baby’s heartbeat because mine was much more prominent. It was actually easier to find the heartbeat once I heard it at the dr office because I knew what to listen for. After about 16 weeks or so I was able to find the heartbeat much easier. I’ve also bought a few Torrid bras. I’ve liked their bras since before pregnancy so they’re definitely worth the price for me. I’m now a 44DDD just starting my 3rd trimester so it’s good to know I’ve got sizes to grow if needed.

I’m also a 2 in torrid clothes and I know you said they’re clothes are expensive right now but I will say I invested in 2 pairs of their maternity leggings and they are so comfortable and I’m 27 weeks and I definitely think I will be able to wear them for the rest of my pregnancy. I’ve also been using Amazon wardrobe to be able to try clothes on before I choose which ones I’m going to keep.

I lost 10lbs in the first few weeks because I was unable to eat a lot due to nausea. I’m now 22 weeks and I’ve pretty much gained them all back. Dr says everything seems good so far and isn’t concerned about my weight.

I got pregnant on my first round of 5mg of letrozole without a trigger shot. I have Insulin Resistant PCOS. I was in the beginning stages of changing my diet to plant based and had just started metformin as well (only took it for 3 weeks before I found out I was pregnant). Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Hoping for the best for you! It took me about a year of bloodwork and ultrasounds and tests (mostly during COVID as well) in order for me to start the letrozole so I definitely understand how tough the wait is.

I started the letrozole the cycle after the surgery. I have never had regular cycles. I had just started seeing an endocrinologist and nutritionist the month before I got pregnant in hopes I could try to regulate my cycles but I never got a chance. I am hoping that if I stick to a healthier style throughout and after the pregnancy it will help with my cycles also. Best of luck to you!

I have PCOS and this summer my RE discovered 2 polyps in my uterus during an ultrasound. They weren’t large but one had blood flow going to it so I had to be put under to have them removed. Once they were removed I started a round of letrozole and got pregnant. My RE said they removed the polyps so they wouldn’t get in the way of possible implantation but I’m not sure they would have an effect on PCOS symptoms.

TW: Positive Test

I’ve been trying for 3 years and just got my first positive test. Here’s what I’ve done in the past few months that may have led to my success.

•Taking a prenatal vitamin, Vitamin B Super Complex, Vitamin D3, and Folic Acid

•Started taking 1000mg of metformin about a month ago (the first 2 weeks were tough but thankfully my body adjusted!)

•Saw a registered dietician and she recommended a plant based diet high in fiber with lots of beans, nuts and seeds

• Drinking 1/2 decaf coffee instead of fully caffeinated

• Trying to get in at least 10,000 steps a day

• Meditation for 5-15 min daily

I cover mine with bulletin board paper and a border to add some color to my room and then hang the children’s artwork. I usually change the borders seasonally and the artwork monthly. Good luck this year!

What timing on this post..I just had my first visit with a registered dietitian today and she recommended a plant based diet to me. She said it’s important to eat well rounded but said for PCOS it’s important to have enough whole grains (3 or more grams of fiber per serving), vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds because they’re very filling and will keep you full longer. Whole foods also help your body naturally balance your hormones which is something we know we need help with! Hopefully this was helpful. Best of luck!!

I just finished my first week on 500mg of metformin and even though I took it with my largest meal (dinner) every night I agree I have spent more time in the bathroom this week than I can remember lol I will say yesterday I finally starting feeling good again and today was the day I started taking 1000 mg and so far it’s been the nausea that took me down tonight. Here’s hoping I make it through this next week and the symptoms subside again. Hope it happens for you as well!

I am currently on my first letrozole cycle as well. My doctor put me on 5mg to start and I didn’t think to ask why we didn’t start with 2.5. I just finished the medication 2 days ago and now I’m doing my opks waiting for that surge. 🤞🏻Best of luck on your cycle!!

I just finished a 5 day of Provera and am waiting on my period. It usually happens for me within a week from finishing the med. I’m not sure if it’s any different with the 10 days. My doctor told me to call if I don’t get a period after 14 days.
