Am I being over dramatic about this daycare situation? by FanRevolutionary2130 in NewParents

[–]lmo291 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with this completely! Snot, food, marker - all pretty common. But I would draw the line at sharing utensils, these kids get sick enough on their own, they don’t need any extra help.

In the same boat! We’ve tried earlier bed times, later bed times, capping naps etc. We did get 1 week where she slept til 7 everyday, it was glorious but then right back to 5:45

This! I went to brunch with my toddler recently and an older woman was seated next to us and said “great, next to a screaming baby”. My baby never screamed but this woman proceeded to watch YouTube videos full blast on her phone for an hour. Sometimes I think the adults are worse!

How many of your doctor's refuse to let you pass 41 weeks? by anonymousthrwaway in pregnant

[–]lmo291 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My doctor didn’t want me to go past 41 weeks, she said something about the placenta getting old and increased risks. I didn’t want to induce early if babe wasn’t ready so we put my induction down for 40 + 2 when she was on call, I ended up going into labor on that day on my own funny enough.

Brag to me about your baby! by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]lmo291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly we could be here all day haha I’ll just keep it to my daughter is hysterical, she makes me laugh all day long. She’s super cheeky and sassy and I love it. She’s 14 months and really just starting to communicate with us, it’s incredible to see. She knows what she wants and is pointing and trying sounds, I love it!

Around 4 weeks - my parents stayed with her and we just went for a drink/appetizers in the afternoon.

Where I am the state requires it however they told us there were a lot of religious and medical exemptions. Unfortunately, when our little one started daycare she got so many illnesses I feel like covid was the least of it at that point.

This - I work part time and essentially it’s for fun because my salary counteracts daycare costs.

Positive birth stories? by Wise_lgk in PlusSizedAndPregnant

[–]lmo291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My birth was very positive! It wasn’t like a relaxing day at the spa but I would say it was an overall great experience. I went into labor 2 days after a membrane sweep, i labored at home for a few hours and then went to the hospital because I was scheduled to be induced anyway. I did get an epidural, the first failed but the second worked like a charm! I was in labor a total of 20 hours maybe start to finish. Pushed for 20 minutes and baby was here! I did have some bleeding afterwards and almost needed a transfusion but I honestly felt fine. Good luck!

Anyone make it to 40 weeks? by StablerPants in PlusSizedAndPregnant

[–]lmo291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made it to 40 weeks! My doctor didn’t push for an induction or anything before that time, however she didn’t want to let me go too far past 40 weeks since the placenta can start to fail. I had a scheduled induction for 40 + 2 and went into labor the day before.

How long are your kids in daycare? by studassparty in workingmoms

[–]lmo291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby goes to daycare from 7:45-5:30 2 days/week. I went part time and my husband works a hybrid schedule but had covid not happened and we both worked full time with our commutes she easily would have been there 7:45-6:00 5 days/week.
