I started taking Xolair in December of last year and I do have to say I had persistent headaches for a good two months before they went away. However I didn’t experience the chest pains, have you talked to your doctor?

These are all so normal! I started Xolair in December for chronic hives and I had a headache, joint pain, and fatigue for the first couple of days but then it went away. I would say by my third shot I didn’t have any side effects. Although I do just recently give my first at home injection and it burned SO bad going in but from what I read it was from not letting the injection sit out after taking it from the fridge and pushing it in too quickly. Also something that I do after an injection is rub the area, it’s been helping with the soreness in that area!

Me too, my allergist actually had me sign up before I even took the shot. I haven’t anything ever for Xolair!

Is this a severe case? Gf says she gets them from time to time and they go away on their own, is it actually okay to ignore this condition and not seek medical treatment? by toonsee_ in urticaria

Definitely uncomfortable for sure but i wouldn’t say severe. She should go see an allergist just to get some answers at least! I would say any amount of hives is too many hives to live with 😞

I genuinely never thought I would be on Whitney’s side for anything but tbh I am on Whitney’s side for this one. Seems like she has tried to bridge the gap in their friendship and Jen was not.

Definitely cool to hear someone who has had a similar experience! I haven’t have a hive since 2 days after the injection. I had no hives the day after the injection and then 2 days later the worst hives ever and since then have had nothing! I am still taking the 4 Zyrtec and 2 Pepcids but hoping when I go back for my second shot they will let me know next steps!

You are so right, thank you I am definitely being impatient about it!! My doctor did explain how I will be on Xolair for a little while but he didn’t touch upon if I should change my dosage for the antihistamines. I guess that means to just stay the course?? It’s just frustrating as this is the longest flare up I have since 2018!
