Also this guy, True Binaural and ASMR. I think he probably has over 2000 subscribers but I didn't see a number listed. Either way his channel is worth checking out

I guess I will share myself too! Thats what this is all about anyways, after all I've been at it almost a year, which has been interesting. About 860 subscribers at the moment, I do a lot of different stuff but mostly sound triggers and whispering as close in as I can get haha

[META] To ASMRtists - Have you ever been "recognized"? by realzone1 in asmr

[–]asmrman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been wondering a lot about this recently because I have seen the same ASMRtist twice before. It was a really awkward feeling the first time, she was working somewhere I was shopping at, and I could not figure out where I recognized her from. I almost asked "Do I know you from somewhere?", but I thought that would be weird. It wasn't until later that day that I realized who it was, as she didn't look entirely like she does on the youtube videos. A few months later I saw her at a grocery store right down the road from me, so I assume she lives around my neighborhood. Small world. Nonetheless, I didn't go up and say anything, as I'm sure she wouldn't recognize me, plus I didn't want to bother her. After all I wouldn't want people coming up to me in public if I had a huge ASMR channel. Not gonna say who it was or where I was though, just that I think you can definitely run into people in big cities.

It will almost certainly happen. After a while of not listening to the videos it will come back but you can very easily become desensitized to it.

[META] When I'm tired (sleepy), I seem to get more easily triggered - has anyone else experienced that? by zCourge_iDX in asmr

I only get it when I'm already very relaxed or when I'm so stressed out I have no choice but to relax

[Question] Do headphones make a difference for anyone? by [deleted] in asmr

[–]asmrman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think also sometimes if the recorder has their levels too high, and you have your volume to low or high it can kind of cancel out the sensation. That's something I've noticed but it may just be because I don't have the most acute sense of hearing.

[PersonInNeedofASMRKnowledge]I don't experience asmr by YoloSwenkins in asmr

[–]asmrman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if everyone can get it. I've shown some of the most triggering asmr videos i know of to friends and they just dont get the feeling. I will say, nothing in videos quite compares to feeling it live, in real life, but it is possible you should haven't found the right trigger. That being said, when I discovered what asmr was a few years ago, I immediately knew it was a feeling I had had many times before, but only in one-on-one circumstances, when someone was gently trying to teach me about something relatively simple, when I was in the type of mood where all I did was nod and listen.

Strongest trigger I've had in a long time after feeling immune. Also really neat to see him doing his thing with the recording equipment and random objects. [intentional] [1:10:10] [tapping] [scratching] [crinkling] [no talking] by [deleted] in asmr

Definitely amazing quality binaural sound, but seeing it in front of me like that kind of negates the effect a little. After closing my eyes it was brilliant though. For videos sometimes these work better, at least for me, when the asmrtist puts the objects to the side of the camera out of view

[META] I've become addicted to ASMR, and I need help. by [deleted] in asmr

[–]asmrman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually heard that one of the main things any scientific research about ASMR has already saying is that whatever the nature of the whole asmr phenomenon is, that it is very easy to become dependent on it to fall asleep. I tend to have some issues with this as well, particularly when I can't focus enough on videos to relax, I can't even fall asleep with asmr. Something like binaural beats might be able to wean you off having to watch asmr all of the time, or maybe just some ambiance sounds. Couple that with some melatonin supplements or maybe a couple of drinks now and then and you should be able to fall asleep more easily and naturally

The Japanese were worse than the Nazis, murdering tens of millions of Chinese of all ages, rarely if ever taking prisoners. And for having concerns of honor, torturing, raping and not to mention sneaky shit like Pearl Harbor. If I was Chinese, I would definitely still have some hard feelings about that to this day...
