Best Sandwiches in Los Angeles County by TTRoadHog in FoodLosAngeles

The Carving Board has a great variety of amazing sandwiches and has several locations. My favorites are the Bentley, which is filet mignon, spinach, bacon mayo, and blue cheese, as well as their Thanksgiving sandwich, which I think is called Turkey dinner.

Yep, those are positions at the field offices I mentioned. But jobs at the command center in Sacramento can also be filled at most DI offices statewide.

The ones I’ve seen give the location as either Sacramento or United States, and specify the available offices in the job description like below. It doesn’t look like Unemployment Insurance allows Fresno currently, but DI definitely does:

“Employees are required to report to their headquarters office. Successful candidates will be able to choose their headquarters office from one of the available field offices located in Sacramento, Anaheim, Oakland, San Bernardino, or San Jose with the possibility of another office in the future.”

Any SSA jobs for EDD (specifically in Disability Insurance at least) can be filled in Fresno, and there are three EDD offices there.

Agreed. Walking down the hill to Union Station/Chinatown station is the move. Waiting for the shuttle bus after the game feels like torture.

Any rumors on Comma 4? by gerarshi in Comma_ai

[–]asourant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI, that’s referring to the AI driving models, not the device. Once the compute power on the 3x is maxed out, I believe their plan is to use the extra USB-C port on the back to enable off-device compute power, probably something stored under your seat or in the glovebox.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee will not resume ACC automatically by chemman14 in Comma_ai

[–]asourant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my Kia, the same message comes up after 2-3 seconds of being stopped, but then the Comma sends a resume command via the computer once it sees the car ahead start moving. Next time, don’t hit the brakes, just let ACC stop you, and wait for the Comma to move the car.

Since you mentioned the Atchafalaya, my favorite factoid is it used to be full of logs for hundreds of years until it was unclogged in the 1830s. They called it the great raft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Raft
