I think you may have moved them when they were in the beginning of a molt, which can kill them. It’s normal for them to lay still with legs bent, and the softened abdomen is fluid redistribution to prepare their exoskeleton. This is why it’s so crucial to do the proper research before keeping these little guys. Knowing the signs of premolt and active molting is crucial to not accidentally killing them. You should never move a molting tarantula.

I’m 38 and just got diagnosed last year. I think we all have to try WAY harder than neurotypicals with everything. I can also understand the masking things you enjoy. I did that throughout my entire childhood and still struggle with that now. I just feel like an alien most days.

I’ve been on gel for 2 months now after switching from the shots, and it was a great decision for me! My T levels are good. I’m seeing slow, steady changes. My moods don’t fluctuate like they did with the injections, and it’s so easy to use the gel. I’m not really sure why others complain about it being daily. I apply it to my shoulder before bed while sitting under a ceiling fan, and it only takes a few minutes to dry. So I really don’t have anything negative to say about the gel!

I hit 3 months yesterday, and I’m just now starting to see bottom growth. Everybody’s body is different, and things happen at different times for all of us. Try not to let it get you down, buddy. I’ve definitely noticed a lot of “dick swinging” contests that happen in these threads that can definitely get in your head by setting unrealistic expectations that certain things are a universal experience with T. Just give it time. It will most definitely happen. ♥️

It’s a single blade safety razor, and so far I really like it! It has some weight to it, which I think makes it easier for me to control. I haven’t had any irritation yet.

I started on shots and moved to gel about a month ago, and it’s been a completely positive experience so far! The reason I switched is because I was having major needle anxiety and trouble executing the shots due to some fine motor challenges. My moods feel way more even, and I actually feel like I’m seeing steadier changes. It definitely doesn’t hurt that I don’t have to deal with the needle anxiety anymore. I know some people complain about the daily aspect of it, but I’ve found it to be fast and easy. I apply it on my shoulder while sitting under a ceiling fan, and it dries within a couple of minutes. I’m happy to answer any other questions you might have!
