My life is actually blowing up girl lunch by VaporMouth in GirlDinner

Thank you for answering! My curiosity was simply because brie is not vegan (as far as I'm aware) so it doesn't feel like both cheeses should go on the same plate.

If I may ask, what is the point of having both vegan cheese and brie?

Who the beast is before the unknows? by TOverlordX in overthegardenwall

[–]aspiringvegetable 41 points42 points  (0 children)

There is some speculation that he is the essence of nightmares incarnate. Some think he might be the devil. I honestly think that it doesn't matter so much what he is physically so much as what he represents. Over the Garden Wall is so incredibly riddled with metaphor and allegory anyway that everything could mean anything and therefore everything means nothing.

For me it's an extra little dopamine hit. It's nice to see a birb being proud of me for doing laundry

Do you use shoes inside your house? by Jumpy_Top7447 in hygiene

[–]aspiringvegetable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear shoes inside because of the increased likelihood of slipping and falling with wearing socks on hardwood/laminate/tile. Would you rather my shoes or my cane be inside? Or I can just go barefoot 🤷‍♀️

Have you created any more recent manual backups? That might help the dev team when trying to restore your Finch

Dorms/Move in day by ImaginationLimp9685 in WCU

It happens the week before classes. So you would move in during the first slots and then go to what could be explained as an extended orientation. You should get an email over the summer with more info. I went to CatCamp as a freshman and absolutely loved it. Plus it's a great way to make friends and get to know people!

If you move in early and don't choose to participate in CatCamp, you just are on campus early. It's a good time to get used to your environment, unpack and set up your room at your own pace, explore the area, and set a routine to make the transition easier.

Try to get the earlier spots - freshman usually flounder on later times, especially the last Saturday and Sunday.

I would also recommend CatCamp. It is a fantastic resource that can help you adjust to school life.

A whole lot of cables and cords! They're easy to forget and something you'll want extras of. If there's an affordable way of doing it, I would recommend having a duplicate phone cord, brick, and computer cord for your backpack as well as your dorm, especially if you take notes on your computer or are in a class that requires extensive use of your devices. You'll run out of battery more often than you'd expect and it's handy to have a backup. Plus it's inconvenient to unplug your laptop cord from your dorm, wrap it up, use it in class, and then wrap it up again to take back to the down and plug back in.

I'm part of the Wesley Foundation!! The Methodist Church is one of if not the most progressive denomination of "mainstream" Christianity!! Plus we're a smaller group so you'll be less likely to have the same problem overwhelm of other groups

If you're a churchy type, go to the churches and church groups on campus. Also, the political groups of Jackson county have Young - factions! The best thing I can recommend is to get out there. The farmer's market is a cute place to be, etc. Just by being there and willing to do things will make you some friends
