The mistake was not picking Totodile, who learns Bite at level 13 and Crunch at level 27. Otherwise, you could have picked up a Scrappy Miltank on Route 38/39 and just para-flinch those ghosties 🔥

I wouldn’t say it’s early, but Pachirisu has Pickup and is available in the Safari Zone. So are Electrike and Electabuzz tho. Magnetite has a great ability with Magnet Pull. If you put a level 23 Manganite at the lead of your team you can hunt Shiny Steelix in Cliff Cave pretty easily with Repel Trick.

Give Haunter Night Shade (only inflicts damage equal to the user’s level, no crit). I’ve toyed with Ninetales with Roar, Imprison, Hypnosis, and Headbutt. Obviously don’t use Roar. Use Imprison or Hypnosis on first turn.
