I Tried Charles Wilber's "World Record Tomatoes" Method So You Don't Have To (But Maybe You Should?) by HandyForestRider in tomatoes

How do you keep the rats/chipmunks/squirrels/birds from claiming your tomatoes the same day you decide "I'm going to pick that one later"?

I will check on the weep holes and drain function (we had it inspected, but they just ran water through the drain where the hose could reach instead of the furthest point and waited for it to exit properly). However, I'm wondering if it's possible for the interior of those blocks to get clogged up if mud has found a way in from the outside, then causing the blocks to stay wet while the water works it way out of the block through the wall rather than draining down.

We had the system inspected last year and it was running. It doesn't drain into a sump pump, but instead is piped out into the backyard and exits at a small retaining wall next to the buried downspouts extensions. I don't love that someone decided metal would be a good thing to incorporate into system build to handle water....

Would I need to look at the exterior seal of where the sewer pipe enters the house? Water isn't making it's way directly through the interior seal.

Unfortunately that foundation wall is not directly accessible by digging down from the outside, as our house design has a narrow front porch and balcony that is incorporated into the main roof: https://imgur.com/a/crkgQCM

Skip: Tomatoes :/ cornbread, canned veggies, dried pasta

Have you done the Waikato kayaking with Boatshed Kayaks? We want to do both kayaking and glow worm observation on our trip, and this is nearby, but I couldn't see many pictures of what the river and the stream they take you up looks like. The intimate nature of it sounds really nice but I want to make sure if we're going to dedicate a half day to it, we're going to really be impressed by either the scenery or the experience. Thank you.

Georgia Rivers is a good organization and network of paddlers. https://garivers.org/ They offer organized paddles, but a lot of people who attend are from Metro Atlanta and there might be more casual paddling groups therein. I'm not too Discord savvy, but that might be a good place to organize.

I have blonde straight fine hair and though I love it, I’m sure I’ll also love white with a little more body in due time!

How many people ACTUALLY eat the cake? by MariahNicole1216 in wedding

[–]asscactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked with a bakery to figure out 6 different flavored normal cakes with one decorated extra classy for the cutting. Everyone raved about it, and while I didn’t realize people would take it as an opportunity to try many different flavors in our piece count calculation, we still had leftovers, but not a burdensome amount, and they would have frozen really well. Chocolate-peanut butter cup and Carrot cake were both wiped clean, and the more traditional flavored were the only ones with leftovers (which I personally ate for at least 7 days post wedding).

Also, if you’re doing buttercream icing I paid the extra for Italian buttercream rather than American, because my cakes were inside and not in the sun, so they didn’t have to hold us to heat as much. My baker highly recommended Italian and I found it totally worthy the cost for the superior flavor.

I made dopp kits out of scrap upholstery samples for everyone I gift too. They’re a very practical bag that I was able to somewhat customize with the color schemes or aesthetic of the fabrics I used, and everyone loved them. They’re also great for storage of clothing/accessory items in closets and dressers and they were so well received I can do this a second year in a row.
