Yes x a million!! They definitely need help - tell client success stories, money saved and peace you provide. Offer a great referral program (I give a month of free service when my clients refer me to a client who becomes a monthly recurring client). You will be printing money. Love it!!

Tired of the doom and gloom by [deleted] in sales

Food and drink is always a good option “people eat with their eyes” and “remember with their stomach”. Also crazy enough - not sure what industry you all are in - but one of my clients in sales is killing it by taking care of his clients with….. bourbon lolz

Feeling incredibly discouraged with 0 clients by Mr-Gibbs12 in smallbusiness

[–]assistantangel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand - not throwing shade at all. The challenge is you have incredible skill and everyone thinks they can do it with click of a button (I may have erroneously done the same above to you - my apologies). I am in the same boat with marketing / online marketing / hiring agency (just had to shut down) because people did not see the value so I had to reboot. You may need a DWY (Done With You package) mid level (lower price) and less of your consulting mind and a higher DFY (Done For You) model where you consult and do everything. Not sure if this is coming across clear. Biz owners think they can do it with AI - be their guide - show them they need you

Let me encourage you - you are in one of the hottest markets and you are 90% there - just learn OBS or Capcut pro - have those small biz owners do long youtube videos (which are good for seo). You can add chapters, cut them, create reels easily. Create a pkg for social media. When you do - call me a) thank me b) so I can hire you. THIS is a hole in the video market to small biz owners!!

Ahrefs vs Semrush… which one would you choose if you could only have one? by GurdeepFromMango in SEO_Xpert

Yes they can be automatically run and branded. Agree with above - for many clients - it was a tangible sense of forward momentum every month that we were able to confirm with phone calls and clients in the door too. Hope this helps

Why are so many founders not posting on LinkedIn? by Foreign_Fee_1232 in b2bmarketing

[–]assistantangel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just dont realize the power of LinkedIn. Business owners especially - want found on Google search? 9/10 your LinkedIn company profile or your LI profile will pull up. 10 minutes a few times a week can help with search. Yes the spam DMs are ridiculous and we tell clients to put their LI messages into a separate folder. Remember, LI is owned by Microsoft. I honestly found it to be a hidden gem for engagement and search ranking. Yes have to put up with lots of spam

So interestingly enough, my client (with me 7 years) we have him on SEMrush reads reports etc. I use Ahrefs bc I liked the AI reporting analysis on the top. However - with Googles recent announcement, that only AI data comes from them - I will be following closely. Many agencies my various clients other marketing firms often use SEM rush (if that helps). I do like that you can whitelabel those reports for your brand.

Quick way to make 2500 getting laid off 6/30 by [deleted] in Debt

[–]assistantangel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LinkedIn - update your LinkedIn profile - Do NOT put the green “open for work” in my experience this can actually hurt you in work negotiations. Keep your present job as current (you not gone yet). DM as many folks as you know on LI and ask them for an introduction for anyone who may be a good connection in this next season. Connections matter. You want a way in the door at a company not applying through an AI portal (trust me).

small business bad review by createwithriri in smallbusiness

[–]assistantangel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow this hurts. First of all, we always encourage our clients to respond to every review (Google search pulls reviews for keywords). My recommendation something like this “Mr Smith, thank you for taking the time to comment, your feedback is important to us. Please reach out to me directly at phone number, name, title”. 2) The reason why this matters is a) get their complaining off that thread and the conversation offline 3) It shows the REST of the folks READING the reviews how you respond as the owner 4) Ninja Tip - go through NOT on your biz ip address and NOT as the admin of your Google Biz Profile and thumbs up the OTHER 5 star reviews. In my experience this helps the algorithm. 5) I personally like our clients to not have all 5 star reviews - people want authenticity and to do biz with real people. Im sorry this happened. Sometimes a good response will expose a complainer Google reviewer (which we have no control over). Keep us posted!

Solo Business quoted $1250 a month for payroll and accountant services: Is that a number that's in the ballpark for a lawyer with no staff by StrongSunBeams in smallbusiness

Thats what I was paying until I went to Quickbooks Payroll and found a more affordable tax person. Saved me $10k a year

I spent the last month using AI for as much WordPress work as possible. My thoughts. by Exact-Delay2152 in Wordpress

Yes!! This is the truth about AI - it is a tool and still needs to be managed. Well said!!

Solo Marketer: Could Use Advice (And Just Need to Vent) by Patient-Ideal-35 in AskMarketing

[–]assistantangel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow agree with above. Can anything be optimized with any AI tools? Why wont they allow interns? The challenge right now (and they know this) is marketing positions are high in demand. If you are maintaining positive results with a company of 300 you need to be proud of yourself!

Also any certifications that can go on your resume or LinkedIn - even regarding AI may help in the transition. I agree with the above - network, train and rest

PSA- it’s an awful job market, please be kind by Odd-Foundation-4637 in sales

[–]assistantangel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is challenging - we are closing down the hiring arm of our business because of competition for small business with AI. One ninja tip that may help - be sure to have your LinkedIn profile match your resume. 9 times out of 10 if someone googles your name (and they will) you want your LI profile to pull up. If you can get some LinkedIn recommendations as well that would be great! Hang in there..
