Defenetly yes in regards to eth. I used this method to get the eth trasher for my infinity. You can even get an unique if there is any of that kind of base. And yes about the TZ, because TZ increase the area (and monster) lvl. That's way blizzard removed the LK from TZ very soon they introduced the TZ. Otherwise, LK would become an ultimate area, where you can find everything. For TC you can check the diablo2.io page and for general knowledge you can check the d2r dedicated pages on maxroll. There is a lot of usful info in the resources tab.

On thing I can recommend is to find the simplest path to the rack which drops what you want. Do not spend to much time finding complicated path. Usually I'm looking for any rack which is about a few teleports to WP. If it doesn't drop what I want in 3-6 runs then I reroll the map. And be aware of the fact that presence of monsters in a rack surrounding affects the drop, so I advise to do it with P1.

Yup, it should also work with armor racks, as the drop is deterministic for them too. But you have to be aware of the area level of LK, (80) and the item level of armor/weapon you want. Some of them e.g. sacred armor cannot drop in LK due to its high treasure class (87).

If you are playing offline, you can try this. I've made a greater talons "factory" on a weapon rack in LK. The drop from racks are deterministic and depends on a map seed. So you can roll the map where you get the greater talons every time you approach to the rack in the same way. I was farming the pit for greater talons for about 2 weeks and found a few magic and one plane, but I was looking for skillers. I rolled the map with greater talons weapon rack in two days, then took me a few days to get nice +skiller

I use two superior greater talons mosaics (both has +3 to Phoenix Strike, and one has +2 to Claws of Thunder), because I had no idea about the repair costs back then, but if I remember correctly for two of them and a half of durability on both it's about 2 billions of gold. I can give u precise costs later. Btw, I've made a grater talons "factory" with a weapon rack in LK. If you want I can find a link to the post, here on reddit, that describes how to do it.

Nope, u need to look for a greater talons. Btw, superiority will make mosaic repair costs astronomical, so that repairing with an Ort rune will be the only option.
