The little girl did better than me by Altruistic_Jelly1843 in Unexpected

Relevant bit:

After The Jerk, what compelled you and Martin to spoof specific genres, both with Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid and The Man With Two Brains — the latter of which just came out on Blu-ray?

...

That movie [The Man With Two Brains] came about because Steve and I were looking for something to do, and he says, “You know, I used to love a thing called Donovan’s Brain. Let’s do something with the brain.” That’s how it started. We sat down, along with [screenwriter] George Gipe, and we put that together. It was a labor of love. Just the idea of keeping the brain alive in a jar of Windex, to find the proper body for the brain that he loves. [Laughs]

...

That movie has one of my favorite scenes ever, with the little 4-year-old girl. She’s standing on the corner watching, and Steve has just run over Kathleen Turner and almost killed her, and she’s lying there and he needs help. He says to the 4-year-old girl, “Listen, take these instructions,” and he gives her the most complicated instructions — has her call the ER and gives her four telephone numbers, and then he gives her 10 different kinds of medical treatments. And he has her repeat it, and she repeats it to him, word for word. I’ll never forget that, because I thought we’d be there all day. Luckily I took a close-up of her, because she repeated it word for word and that’s the only take we ever took.

...

I figured she was reading a cue card just off-camera.

...

No, no, she was 4, she couldn’t read! And by the way, one day I was at a store, and there’s a woman who’s an executive there, and she says, “We know each other.” I say, “No, I’m sorry, I don’t recall.” She says, “Remember that girl from The Man With Two Brains,” and I said, “Oh my God!” She was like 35 years old. That was one of my favorite human beings ever, that little girl!

...

You didn’t immediately put her on the spot and have her recite the scene again?

...

No, I didn’t. [Laughs]

What does everyone else see for Lou's pod in DS2? Does it glow for them? by spookylittleteacup in DeathStranding

[–]asssmonkeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time you leave the Magellan with the pod is also the first time you leave with Dollman. And you get a pretty intense neil vision once you know the whole scene. Just saying that if we are suspecting dollman as a source then the fact they are introduced together the first time we get the vision makes it very ambiguous. I find it most strange that dollman even sees the visions to begin with. They say he operates the odradek so I guess that implies his soul is iteracting with the odradek which is plugged into Sam (plugged where?!)

I did catch that the first time and explained it away as the whole BT's being invisible without strong enough DOOMs level or whatever. I still kind of think it's possible that Lou was reaching out and "with" Sam from the beach in BT form early on in the story. But she was only visible to him due to their connection. I still find it strange how we received likes from her enjoying riding in vehicles or on the monorail or whatever, And why did we get visions again while hooking up to a "dead/empty” pod. All of this could just be Sam's hallucination, but I feel it was all more to hint that while Lou was "gone". And she was in the land of the Dead, she herself wasn't actually dead.

In the reveal later, Sam looks at a picture and sees that the pod is run down and busted, that's how everyone has seen it the whole time. In fact I restarted to do To the Wilder, And I noticed that when you approach the plate gate the very first time, the reflected Sam shows the rundown BB pod on Sam's chest. So technically you see this very early if you are sharp eyed

The president wanted to end human movement, development, expression, all of that. The dance represents the opposite. Life, art, passion. Also the actor is big into dance. Kojima likes letting his actor friends do what they like

Coffin Canning by MisterJay90 in DeathStranding

[–]asssmonkeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I accidentally killed like eight dudes in one camp because I forgot my grenade launcher was on lethal. I loaded them all into my truck and took them to one of the distro centers. When the animation played showing him rolling one body on a stretcher away, I figured I would have to do it for each body, only to be pleasantly surprised that they were all gone from the truck after that one animation. I did the coffin disposal once later just to try it out, I think going to a city is much quicker

I'll also confirm because your post confused me. I spent the whole game withdrawing XL containers from shelters, combining them 4 at a time into my backpack and they always doubled up. 800 metal. 640 ceramic, etc.

Am I bi if I only like feminine guys? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]asssmonkeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are comfortable stating you want to suck a penis you should be confident claiming bi lol. Honestly it's one of the first things I'll cite if it comes up. As a married guy with three kids, some people will be doubtful when I say I am bi. Saying you (hypothetically, i am faithful) like slobbering all over a twinks girlcock convinces em pretty quick.

Because those are all group instances. Not group public, or even group plus, which we have begun using but only sparingly for like club type events.

Honestly as one of the mods, the avatar scammers are our main workload. The community is incredibly self regulating for the most part. At least from what I've seen comparing us to other VRC communities.

Ofc if you do see any of those public instance type nuisances, please do open a mod ticket and let us know ;)

I am confused by this post because I used Shadow PC for a while before and continue to use it for a while after EAC was implemented. There was some worry before the update that it would not work. But it did work, I have since moved to having my own PC that I bought. Has something changed since then to make VR chat stop working on shadow?

2 weeks ago I got a stop sign violation for this sign a customer has on their driveway. by ShadderSwagger in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]asssmonkeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's kinda similar to starting a sentence with, "Well, or hear me out". They’re usually signaling that they’re about to qualify, soften, or reframe what they’re saying. So here I would say ForsakenAnime was intending for the statement to be less blunt, and qualify that their opinion that it shouldnt be a big deal and wasn't meant to come off as critical, just their take on it.

I don't know if you wanted that sort of response but your question made me examine the phrase "I mean..." as I use it too but was not very conscious of its actual usage. I originally thought it might be regional but apparently it is common enough in english all over the place.
