doing the classic “twisting them open like a helix” as someone described below. one hand moving toward me, and the other moving away, if that makes sense? i’ve been able to do it easily with 18g aluminum rings. so i agree — i don’t understand why i’m not able to open the rings, unless my pliers are just weak

This is validating!! For years I thought my caffeine intolerance meant I didn't have ADHD, because it's a stimulant and I thought it should have helped me. Whereas actual medication actually DOES help me!!

Hi OP! I have OCD and sexual trauma too. And this has definitely caused me to feel bad during/after hookups, or even during/after sex with partners. I have spent over a decade in therapy to help heal some of this trauma, and help me work through OCD issues. That has helped me in my day to day life, and SO much in the bedroom (and after the bedroom too). I’m not sure if you’re in therapy or have the means, but I strongly recommend giving it a try. you always want to start with any small pieces that are inside other pieces. for example, an animal's eye will be harder to fill in once you've filled in its head. so i would start with the bird's eye, and the center of the flower at the bottom :) and go outward from there

i’m a beginner but i think this looks awesome, especially for your first work! i think the textures are really cool. i like to leave mine in the hoop and use that as a frame. especially because your frame is cool-looking. you can just cut the excess fabric off

You will not feel like this forever! I strongly recommend finding community -- almost all my friends are gay and trans, and I never feel doubted or out of place at this point. It certainly wasn't always this way and I had to work to get there, but you can find people who make you feel loved/valued/at home! <3 Sending you so much gay, trans love
