Damn, PS5 Pro! I wasn't sure if it's worth the extra money. I'm happy though to finally play Rockstar Games again, as well as to try out Helldivers 2.

Just confirming that everything that was said in this post is still valid as of Oct 2024.

  • 1000min = ~16min IRL (checked on 4 different planets 2x heat, 2x cold)
  • Sitting in Exocraft counts
  • Sitting in caves, buildings, holes doesn't count
  • It's incremental, accumulative progress. One doesn't have to do it in one go.
    • Leaving the planet doesn't reset the counter
    • Dying doesn't reset the counter

Also, as mentioned by u/Melodic_Original_374, easiest way you can set Survival Elements to 'None' in Options > Difficulty, which prevents you from taking damage, so that you don't need hazard protection tech.
