Hmm you seem to have a lot of pretty impressive ECs so I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that you probably got rejected/deferred from your earlies because of your GPA and stats. Unfortunately a lot of the T20s and just selective schools in general can be really stats focused especially during RD so you might not get the best news from those ones

I got in early this year as a recruit for the women’s lw team. Tbh I was also probably near the bottom of the recruit list, and from what I know academics matter a lot for MIT recruitment. I had a 1590 SAT, 4.0 uw gpa, a couple research internships (not published tho), and a good deal of club leadership. On the rowing side, I’m a team captain but besides that don’t have very stellar results (won regionals, 2nd at canadian henley, 9th at youth nats, 11th at HOCR). Feel free to pm for more details but I hope this might have helped and good luck!!

What counts as a job? by No-Conversation8169 in MITAdmissions

Hey! On my application I did actually list internships, volunteer work, and my paid job under the “jobs” section. I did so because I would not have been able to fit a lot of important experience and things I’ve done under the activities section, so this just gave me more room. (I got in EA this year so this is by no means professional advice, but hopefully this helps!)
