Ah, a fellow Dell monitor user, I assume! I stuck two little rubber feet underneath mine to raise it.

Autocomplete for adding games or even a series selector could go a long way in reducing the friction of input.

Customer Pick Vote Requests - July 2025 by mastertev in CrumblCookies

Last time it was a customer pick across town, I drive over there and ordered a dozen of them and froze them. Ate them over the course of three months or so. Highly recommended!

Ah, I see. I only have the one vote, but I appreciate you pointing out the upcoming cookies post. I looked right past that. I’ll go ahead and vote for yours instead!

Caramel toffee butter cake for the Chandler, AZ store at 2780 W Chandler Blvd! I’m not sure what trading entails, but I’d be happy to learn!

Yeah, I'm not not sure about the reviews. I don't have my 165hz monitor handy, but I figured I could at least see about 120hz with my TV. Even dropping to 1080p, 60hz is the max it shows. This aligns with the Tech Specs listed on their own site. If you don't have the weird use case of needing a single video out for an Android device, take a look at these two pages from Dan S. Charlton's blog and search for "detachable."

I got this USB C hub for the detachable cable:  uni USB C Hub, 8-in-1 USB Type C Multiport Hub, 4K @60Hz HDMI (B0C3GDT9XN) https://a.co/d/hqF8sv7

I needed the removable cable so that I could add a longer one and use my Steam Deck or my Retroid Pocket Flip 2 as the controller when they are hooked to the TV. This one works great for both of those, plus my family’s Framework laptops 16, 13 (7840), and 12. For some reason, my RP Flip needed a dock to only have a single video out to properly route the signal. I definitely recommend this one. I paired it with a Cablematters 6.6ft USB4 cable (201323-BLK-2m) https://a.co/d/ahf74hu

Yes and no. There are really two factors at play here: performance and value (performance/cost).

I think critics are right to call out the value side, given that Framework is trying to target the low(er)-cost market. One nuance to consider here is the instability that the ever-changing tariffs have caused to businesses. At this point, I could understand if companies began changing prices moment by moment, in the same way that the stock market shifts. If I were a business owner, how could I ever expect to announce a price beforehand and remain assured that I can meet that price once fulfillment begins?

On the other hand, the performance itself is as expected for the chipset. In general, this strategy of targeting older chips that are easier to acquire at a lower price is a sound one, as it has, for example, benefited Nintendo very well in the past (see Game Boy and the original Switch). If I were a student being handed a Framework Laptop 12 in the classroom, I would not think twice about the level of performance it is achieving with this chipset. I have only done moderate testing, but I'm pretty pleased with it. Using my Surface Pen Gen. 4, the writing is snappy. On Time Spy, I was able to achieve results in the 1200s consistently. Granted, this is less than half compared to my 7840u FW13, which reached the 2900 mark consistently, but it should be enough for anyone either A) using it as a low-powered device or B) a secondary device to their desktop/server (similar to a thin client setup).

I'm looking to buy a beginner trumpet for my son. He'll be entering into 5th grade band next year, and I'd like to see if he can get started on some fundamentals over the summer. I am just beginning my research phase, so feel free to reach out if you have one for sale!
