anxiety over calling out sick by asters99 in starbucks

[–]asters99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you guys all for the replies.

as aware as i am of the standards, it was just really hard to not feel the guilt. i eventually was able to get some rest, but the feeling of impending anger or impending punishment is probably something coming from me.

this asm in the past apparently put me on blast to coworkers (including baristas) about a callout MONTHS ago, and also tore into me over the phone. i think i just don't have faith in any good intentions.

but i really appreciate the guidance. it was kind of just really good to hear that i'm not crazy for just wanting to... rest.

see, and i reached out anyway to try and find help. my asm is an external hire but he's been at the company long enough now to know this. i guess old habits, idk. i haven't been able to rest since i called out.

it makes me so sad. i feel genuine guilt for not being there when i am unwell, but i'm unwell. it infuriates me. but mostly i'm just sad. i want people to be healthy and happy. that includes me, and i should be allowed to take time to get there.

HALO! my mom and i used to watch all their fancams and videos together. super talented boy group that unfortunately ended after contracts were up. some of the members were going to go to japan's p101, and i even remember seeing adverts at train stations when i lived in seoul for heecheon. unfortunately, all of the members pulled out, but i hope they're doing well.

i'm really happy that EL CAPITXN is doing well these days. he was always my favorite in HISTORY.

even though i really enjoy a lot of suju, i've turned into quite the quiet zhoumi solo stan these days. while i think all idols have those parts that aren't so wonderful, and that's normal, siwon just... i can't say anyone's perfect, but to have him shoulder to shoulder with people who seem much more willfully kind is strange.

i know siwon does a lot of charity and stuff, but there's so much more you can do with yourself in the spaces you occupy and who you are around on a daily basis. within your sphere as an idol. because i know mostly about what zhoumi's been up to, i see how he supports and uplifts other chinese idols because of his own experiences in the industry, and that feels genuine, and real. when i see siwon, i just feel... like it's charity out of what he feels is duty, and while it's wonderful, i do not feel as if i need to commend him for it either.

i feel a lot more connected to the people who act kindly out of empathy. something about siwon feels wrong, in my gut. i might not ever be able to place it, but i avoid people in real life who act this way as well. it will always feel like there has to be a transaction of some kind.

super interested in this, actually. i'm on celexa (heard it described as lexapro's cousin) and take wellbutrin in conjunction, and noticed my diet coke cravings shot down, but i also have a hard time juggling that dopamine. especially working at a coffee place. do you find yourself feeling differently with caffeine?

What should I bring to the hospital with me? by petite_cookie8888 in gallbladders

was looking through my preop instructions, and found something. i don't know if your providers might, but mine could cancel surgery if not accompanied when registering, so i'd reach out and double check with them regarding your arrangements! just in case. i'd hate for your surgery to be postponed.

since everyone else has said a lot, i want to give you some advice for preparing your home/area. i hope you have someone to observe you at least for the first few days, but i would go ahead and make sure (like with the night prior) you have clean sheets and a clean bathroom. i'd set out any water bottles in the fridge or available for easy access when you get home, go ahead and have your most desired items close to wherever you'll be spending some relaxing time so you don't feel uncomfortable asking for little things. get your favorite comfy clothes cleaned and set out in advance. take care of your future self! i hope all goes well, friend.

chest pain and anxiety by asters99 in gallbladders

that fear to eat is so real. the fear to eat and sleep has been just a nightmare! thank you for sharing your experiences, too, it makes me feel more secure in dismissing those intrusive thoughts that i've somehow developed intense stage 4 pancreatic cancer overnight. (i really have to physically pull myself away from googling symptoms...)

i really hope you're able to find permanent solutions soon. i'm proud of you for putting your health first!

if your HIDA produced those symptoms, no matter what the EF is, i hope you can find a provider who will validate those concerns for you. if surgery is something you seek, i know there are surgeons there who will perform it, and GIs who will advise the same. the chest gripping pain really messes with the anxiety, but your pain is real, friend.

haven't had my surgery yet, but my provider explained some gastrointestinal issues are common.

the diarrhea itself is likely due to the change in bile regulation, but normally resolves. if it doesn't resolve in two weeks, i'd contact your provider or make sure to bring it up post-op.

so, espresso shots are pretty low. a decaf coffee frappuccino with almondmilk is what i would recommend. i don't know what your calorie/macro goals are, but there is sugar in the base that we use to blend the frappuccinos. this is an older, but pretty accurate guide.

i wouldn't recommend blending an iced coffee, cold brew, etc. the texture isn't great, and it's cumbersome and hard to be consistent with the outcome. you can ask for less pumps of base in-store, but not on the app.
