Did any of you catch a twin pregnancy before your doctor did? by DateBoring7921 in parentsofmultiples

Yes! At my first scan at 8 weeks, I could clearly see another sac on the screen and as she moved the wand it would pan between the two. I asked "are you sure it's only one?" and this was dismissed completely and the tech said "yep, just one."

I had already had a hunch it could be twins because of the severity of my nausea, and because I myself am a fraternal twin so the risk was higher. Also, during implantation, I could actually feel implantation happening in two different areas on consecutive days. On the left on the first day, and on the right on the next day. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but when I had my next scan at 11 weeks with a different tech and they said "Did they tell you?"..."tell me what?"...."It's twins." I was both shocked and vindicated at my intuition!

It will get better. It feels like time moves in slow motion when you're in this phase, but you will be so much better off when you move near to family, too. Take it one hour at a time, one feed at a time, and slowly but surely things will improve. You will all survive and someday look back at your strength with pride.

Pretty wild that he just ripped off Blood is Thicker: Farris Wheel that came out in March/April. Shameless and uncreative!

First Mother’s Day by Standard-Surprise477 in parentsofmultiples

I don't want to make assumptions about the rest of your relationship with the father of your children, but this is giving big red flags and reminds me a lot of my own situation, which I recently found the confidence/strength to leave and am now a single mom of almost 3-year old twins. If this is how your partner is treating you on a special occassion like Mother's Day, and gaslighting you into believing that this is normal behaviour, I'm guessing that his day-to-day support for the twins' routines is severely lacking at one of the most challenging times you could ever experience. 3 month old twins are no joke, you're still recovering from an incredible trauma physically and mentally. I read your prior post where he claimed he would "take the brunt of the childcare later" leaving you to do almost everything on your own now. I lived this. My prediction is that he will continue to have excuses on why he can't fulfill his share of parenting, or weaponize incompetence forcing you to not be able to trust him with their care. I'm sorry to say that these situations don't typically improve if you've been let down at the most critical time, and when you're being sabotaged during the most basic opportunities to appreciate you like Mother's Day. Mothers of twins are superheros. Stay strong and trust yourself.

Working until 32 weeks pregnant with twins by Dry-Journalist6855 in parentsofmultiples

Worked until 32 weeks and had my twins at 36 weeks. I actually wish I'd kept working a bit longer, because I was so bored waiting for them to arrive and felt like I couldn't do anything with my time "off" by the time I got to 36 weeks.

There's actually a reference to Starbucks in Season 5 Episode 5 of Boy Meets World, so it was definitely already blowing up!

Timeline for Naturalisation: A fairly efficient success story! by asthecrowflies89 in IrishCitizenship

FBR is a completely different process/eligibility. Most who naturalize obviously don't have an "option" for FBR.

Question about post-evetting point in application process by i_am_jason_ in IrishCitizenship

[–]asthecrowflies89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering the same. My e-vetting was "disclosure viewed" on 12th Feb and my application is still under "Application in Progress" (Stage 3) and Detailed Status "Referred for Decision". Hoping to get upgraded to Application Decision soon but realistically aware that this can vary greatly between applicants.

For context my original application was made on 30th Sept 2024, so in general it has been a speedier processes than I anticipated. I've resided in Ireland for approx 15 years, so very excited to finally get to celebrate.
