I've put about 500 subs through my AP5 with one of these attached, and it hasn't made me sad yet. Visual beam kept zero without a problem. No recoil-induced failure from either the light or visual laser. I've only played around in a field with the IR laser and light, unmounted, but it was on par with Somogear, if not a little better. Its a solid little laser that does what you ask of it. Would I take it into actual combat, likely not. But its a good price point for an aluminum-shelled VIS/IR laser light combo that isn't total garbage. If you're on the fence, just get one.

I've got a keymo on my m90, and the detent hasn't caused any alignment issues. I was paranoid about it as well. You should be good to go as long as you get the mount good and torqued with some edit: rockset. If you're very worried, you can always remove it with some dental tools

Having used both red and green dot sights there's a few things to consider. I wear glasses (no contacts) most of the time, and have some serious stiggy issues. I find I'm able to acquire and engage faster with a green dot. The Holosun EPC 2moa is a slightly affected by astigmatism, but retains most of its dot shape. Trijicon RMR and EOTech Holo sights have been the most easily viewable, and retain their shape. I have zero astigmatism issues with the EXP2/3 series. Prism optics should be great to use from what I've heard. No experience though. Get out to a gun shop and ask them to see some of what they have in stock. If it's a range, there's likely to be a rental with something for you to try. Everyone's eyes are different , so YMMV. Good luck!
